    My slow SS

Disappointing day, it was a hot cali day. I was expecting somewhere in the 14's... 2003 LQ9 AWD stock with a K&N cai. half tank of 91 with octane booster. 60 ft - 2.331 1/4 - 15.594 MPH - 87.52 Fastest time out of about 10 passes. I tried everything to get a better 60ft and couldnt crack 2.3 all day. I owned a 2006 reg. cab 4.8 previously and it ran 16 flat so these times were embarrassing...
  2. The guy at the audio place confused me though saying I had to have a special adapter for the Bose system, but I don't need or want the Bose system bc I'm going to put in af amp/subs. So I was told to disconnect the amp and plug adapter into the amp plug, but it's a pita to get that plug up near the stereo area. I have the center console and all the pop out consoles out. I understand how to solder the wires all together just not sure where I'm plugging into and other minor details like the red wire and steer column.
  3. So I wanted to take on this challenge myself and make a learning experience out of it, I always prefer to do things myself if possible. My problem is I don't know what to do about the factory Bose amp, I was told to disconnect the amp and run the wires from the amp up to the stereo and plug the adapter harness into that. I was also told to run the red wire to the fuse panel next to the dash. If that is all correct then what do I do with the factory head unit plug, just move it out of the way and disregard it? There's also 2 plugs that plug into the back of the amp one that fits my adapter and a smaller plug, do I leave the smaller plug plugged in or disregard it also? Last but not least what wire am I looking for on the steering column to connect my steering wheel controls to? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Would love to do this instead of taking it to a shop.
  4. Just bought me a clean black 03SSS with 70k, I had a 06 RCSB previously but it was totaled out. Glad to be a part of the forums here, can't wait to mod this thing out! Ive only had it for 5 days now and the first thing I did was tint the windows. I plan on doing exhaust and a efi live tune in the near future to help wake her up some. These trucks have so much power on the bottom end and no wheel spin compared to my RCSB 4.8, but my RCSB had more pull on the top end then again it had efi live so hopefully that will wake up the top end on my SSS. Would post pics but forgot how haha.
