i wonder if they took a vho and swapped vin numbers?
with roll over damage, insurance Co's will total if the roof is damaged at all. also the vehicle information sticker is missing off the drivers door. witch also has a vin #. not always replaced if the door was totaled..
if i was interested in buying it, i would have the vin checked with the frame #.. bet they won't match..
-
i would put a mechanical gauge on it first to see what your pressure really is..what was all done besides the oil pump..
-
oem gaskets work real good. did you remove the plugs when you installed the headers? had the same bucking when i did mine, and found i damaged a plug some how..
good luck

the Banks exhaust is 4" in DI. way to big for a gas motor. there designed for diesel motors

maybe i was lucky when i had to got my truck repainted due to wind damage.the adjuster had experience with the SSS, and knew what was entailed for repair work.. the first check they sent was their repair cost, the body shop sent 2 amendments for repairs, stating used parts were not available in good condition and needed to perches new, and the insurance co. paid with out issue. the only issue i had was the extra i had to pay on the rental car, took 5 weeks instead of the 2 weeks promised.. ..but i was not fighting a second insurance co. that doesn't want to pay out. your insurance co. should take care of you and they should go after the dirt bags insurance co..
good luck

You cannot order a "pump" from GM for the trucks; Mr. Goodwrench makes you buy the entire "fuel pump assembly", the whole sump & pump & fuel sending unit & float, retail (I hear) is like $300-400. Best option is to call Magnusson and order the Walbro 255 kit from their '04+ GM Truck Radix kits, you get an upgraded OE-quality pump and all the small parts to install it in your truck for $135.
Mr. P.
thanks for the info..i.m not paying for it, but the shop won't go the Walbro well the fuel pump assembly's their getting, the pig tails are not matching up to the units..so i sit here about ready to blow, if it's not one thing it's another with this shop..
-
long story short.. i need the current GM part # for the stock fuel pump in a 03..seems the body shop ordered it and the pig tail connectors are the wrong size on the pumps their getting..X3 were there any changes made, and if so what..
thanks

I could be wrong but the fuel filter should be changed around every 7k miles with your oil change.
i agree 7-10k but 30k on a fuel filter is

go talk to the city about it..i worked for a small village years ago, and we had people's property damaged by us by accident and they payed up, or we repaired it after they talked to the crew about what happened..
good luck

when was the last time he had a fuel filter change, and injector's service? his fuel "could" be the issue due to lack of use, and carbon build up. our old trucks at work would start lousing power, and we knew a filter change was needed..that would be the cheap issues to start with, or bad injectors, injector pump, turbo. $$$$$$$
good luck

i got the original bow tie in gold for 25 plus shiping
thanks, but they found it.. i guess it was easer to look for it, than facing a piss off customer looking to play baseball..

Bassani makes very nice headers for our trucks. Mid length that go down almost to the cats and are smog legal. Look them up online. They are made in Anaheim.

How much is the Shopman? If the body shop losst the correct one and can't find the correct replacement, i would suggest they get the shopman bowtie and have them eat the diiference in cost. That way your happy and they can get you out of their hair
their excuse is " OEM or like replacement..so their's no chance
-
Heck, your original Bowtie almost looks like a polished billet one to me....
thats why i'm so pissed..
-
Looks like its time to get a shopman...
been out of work since Aug. 09 no money for fancy things at this time..

need help.. body shop "LOST, MISPLACED" my grill emblem..need a part # for it. (pic below).
it's for a 03 Aarival blue that came OEM with the silver lite gold bow tie. after telling them 3X not to replace it, they put one of the newer nasty a$$ gold ones on that looks like it's for a 08, sticks out about 3/8" past the grill..the OEM was almost flush. please any help would be appreciated...

I do remember Dinah Shore
Just thought it was neat that they brought back a jingle every kid & adult knew way back when
+1
i remember them well. if i remember, Pat Boone did the Vette commercials for many years..

Why, are the factory studs not good quality?
their OK, to just pass safety standards. when i was working a recovery tow truck, had a lot of calls for broken/stripped studs and wheel nuts over the years, not just from GM vehicles..
-
i would replace all of them with good quality studs and nuts... JMO
good luck..
