So I recently traded in my 2006 F-150 for this 2006 GMC Sierra Crew Cab. It has some cosmetic issues that I need to take care of but seems to be a good truck. Got it as a certified used GM so I have a 12 month / 12,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. I have put on a wheelskin steering wheel cover, have a Flowmaster 50 Series delta flow to put on, and will be tinting the front door windows. The only other thing I will be looking at doing soon is getting a bed cover. Does anyone have the Access brand on their rides? I have eye balling them but don't know how good they are. Here are the pics...

Well it has been a while since I sold my SSS, and since I have had a Titan and F-150. This weekend I traded my F-150 in on a 2006 GMC Sierra Crew Cab Z-71 (will post pics later!!) It is not SSS but is nice to be back in a GM Truck. I am now trying to figure out what brand muffler to change over to....Flowmaster or Magnaflow. I have always put on Flowmaster in the past so I thought I might try Magnaflow. I am looking to just do a muffler swap out right now. Any suggestions????

What is up with all the hoopty rides with candy on them? Do they think they will be getting kick backs for advertising? That is a funny site but you sometime wonder what people are thinking (or not thinking) when they go to do some of these things.

This happened as well in Indiana. The sick basterds I really wish the US would incorporated torturing for people like this...torture then let die slowly.

Bet you will never see anyone from the opposite sex riding in the passenger seat...

Took about all afternoon but the wheels cleaned up well. I used the BOSS products that I had on hand.

I would try and tie the sides into the hoood if you are going to keep the whole hood black.

Thanks for the info. I will look into the Adams products and try it out.

Got a set of Eagle Alloys 079 that are in the super finish / black put on my truck in Feb. I used the Boss Super Finish and Chrome Polish first and then applied the Boss Super Finish and Chrome Protectant. Since this application we have received a lot of snow and I finally got the chance to 100% wash the truck this weekend, and there is a lot of brake dust spots that will not come off with just simple washing. My questions are: Does anyone know the proper steps for keeping the super finish clean and protected? Am I going to have to polish these all the time? Any help would be appreciated from a former SSS owner

I had the stock Goodyears on mine and it did great in the snow. What town will you be living in? Is it Atabury (sp?).

Not sure about a SS but definitely back to a Silverado.

I know and I agree, but sometimes you have to give things up for the good of the family.

I would almost venture to say that this guy is real and not acting...and it hurts me to say that b/c I am from KY.

For $100 maybe it will turn my F-150 into my old SSS

Hate to hear and see that. Some people are just f'ing low lifes. This may be a dumb question, but did they take anything that would could be tracked via serial/part # that is specific to your truck?

Thanks guys/gals for the welcome back.

I will do some searching and see if I can find it.

Oh yes, the "free car wash" that is one of my all time best.

Hey guys just wanted to say hello again. It has been a long time since I have been on SSS.com and I am glad to see some familiar faces are still roaming around here. I really wish I still had my SS...been through two trucks since getting rid of it and neither have come remotely close to matching the fun and power of the SS . I have always wondered where my SS ended up.

Looks good!

Not too far down the road from you. Our plant machines and assembles Toyota forklift transmissions and Lexus/Toyota Steering columns. I don't work on the floor, I am in charge of Safety/Environmental. Been looking into Cummins...hopefully will land something there.
