@IndyNova So im guessing the NP261 would do the trick then? im probably gonna have to make some modifications to mount it up to the trans too im guessing?

im actually trying to swap my SS to be 4wd at the moment, any pictures or info about this would be great, having a hard time finding information on this swap anywhere. @chuckwagon423

Ok so i have an 03 SS AWD, its barely an SS at this point cause i bought it lifted 7 inches so its lost all of its cornering ability at this point and theres no use for me to have it awd. My transfer case just blew up and im thinkin of swappin in a 4WD T-case since i do a little more off roading and id like to be able to put the truck down into 2wd to save on gas when driving on the road, ive done a bit of reading but none of the places ive looked give all the info i need, im just trying to see if anyone has done the swap or if someone can tell me exactly what ill have to do for it to work. any input is appreciated, thanks.

Couple months ago i blew the rear driveshaft out of my SS on the highway, it did a lot of damage and pulled the T-Case tailshaft bushing out, i put a new driveshaft and bushing in among with some other stuff and i added some green Loctite on the bushing to be sure it wouldn't come out, but it did so i put it back in with some heavy duty gasket maker i had laying around and it once again didn't work. Now i know that to fix the issue properly id need a new casing but i don't have that kind of money at the moment. So my question is, can i just JB Weld that bastard in the hole? would that hold it in there long enough for me to be able to fix it properly?

My truck did something similar a while back, shortly after blowing the rear driveshaft out of it and repairing it i parked it in the driveway and when i looked back it was rolling away, hasn't done it since. would be nice knowiing what was going on there.

I have an 03ss and I'm having trouble with the dual zone climate control. First off the A/C doesn't work but I'm just gonna guess that's unrelated to my main problem, the heat control. for the most part the heater works, the air comes out of the right vents and the blower speed works fine, if i have the heat set at max (32c) it works fine but if i lower it just one degree, it just blows cold outside air. its max heat or none at all. Anyone have any ideas?

got an 03 SSS with 136000 kilometers and i keep having to add coolant every once in a while. The truck runs fine and the oil looks good apart from a little bit of sludge on the drain plug magnet on the last oil change which i believe to be unrelated, if i pull the oil cap off after driving it there's a little bit of smoke that comes out so I'm guessing what I've got on the drain plug is piston ring or bearing material but not sure, anyways that's unrelated, my main question is where could my coolant be going? i have no burnt coolant smells and the truck doesn't smoke, I see no evidence of coolant in the oil although I've read with the GM dexcool its hard to tell when it gets into the oil, and i see no evidence of a exterior leak anywhere. am i missing something here?

i bought mine with a 7 inch mcgaughys lift thats made for a stock silverado. i believe some minor modifications were required cause i have a receipt in the truck for ''small liftkit modifications'' but its on there and it works fine.

Anyone know any good sites for aftermarket stuff on these trucks? looking for something similar to ZZP for the cobalts or Z1 for the nissan Z series, a site that has a little bit of everything.

Recently bought an 03 ss with 133000 kilometres, the trucks in overall good shape, needs a bit of buffing and has a few dents but pretty good overall. i lost the driveshaft going down the highway when i was taking it home, sheered the bolts out of the rear yoke and broke the adapter plate between trans and transfer case. The truck was parked for a few years before i bought it and i think the the driveshaft u-joint was seized when i got it and just tore appart when i got up to speed. previous owner is too broke to help so im on my own with it but i dont mind, ive got one hell of a nice truck lol.
