Hi, I'm new here, I have a 99 Silverado LS 2wd that I bought from a friend a couple years ago. The truck had about 175,000 miles on it when I got it. It has run great up until recently when It developed a noise in the rear of the vehicle. It is a whining noise that occurs during acceleration and stops when I let off the gas. Also, lately I have noticed sometimes when I accelerate from a stop it is sluggish up until I reach about thirty five miles an hour. I have read somewhere that it could be the fuel pump or maybe a bearing, or maybe both. I'm here in Florida and I need to drive to Virginia some time this month and I need to get this fixed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, James Randolph
