I'll withhold judgement until I see the vid. Seems a little far fetched to me.
Intake, exhaust and programming pushing this truck to speeds in excess of 150mph does seem to be far fetched indeed. Serious power would be needed to get past the air resistance.

The Cobalt SS is a fine example of looks being more important than performance. The Srt-4 offers a bit more performance yet the Cobalt SS is much more appealing from a visual standpoint (when it loses the terrible wing) and to me, that's what counts. The second picture of the black SS resembles a 350Z depending on the angle you look at it. Color also plays a big role in what looks good. As it stands now, the black looks wonderful but I'll pass on the blue and the red.

Those heavy trucks are easy to beat. It only gets interesting if you encounter one with some sort of a Banks power pack and the such.
Apparently not considering the Chevrolet was victorious by 36 inches. It could have been much different if the other person was alone.

More power to you if you think you are out-running a 04 MGT and even more power to you if you think basic mods will accelerate your truck to speeds in excess of 150mph. 153mph isn't that far off from a SRT-10 and it makes the Lightning look a bit foolish. Out of curiousity, what does your cousin and his 125mph Liberty have to do with your top speed? There are way too many things to take into consideration besides his engine size and his speed.
