  1. After a few sets of rotors they finally decided to shave off a few thousands of material on the new rotors. They found a low spot which was causing my brake issue.. The mechanic has never seen this is his 20 some years of brake problems.. You would think after three rotors it would of fixed the problem.. I guess there was just a bad batch of molds.Once he took about 4 thousands of metal off the surface was finally smooth.. It took two runs on the lather in order to get everything true.. Now the truck stops with out any noises.. Thank good.. Plus since it was the parts problem they did not charge me a dime..

  2. I just got new Rotors and Brake pads installed on my 2003 SS Silverado on the rear. When I drove off the lot and applied the brakes I hear a thumping noise coming from the back brakes.. Bring it back to the dealership and they tried swapping out the rotor and on the road test it still making the noise.. They have no clue what is causing the thumping noise.. Any Ides would be greatly appreciated.

  3. After a visit to the Dealership ..They have found that the Throttle Body was pretty dirty.. It only costed me $33.00 to get fixed..

The truck runs and performs like the day I bought it.. So far so good.

  4. Drclaw, What you have just posted fits my issue to a T. I don't understand why it is not throwing a code either..

I do notice that the battery needle does pulse at time especially when off the gas and sitting at idle.. I wonder if anything is going on with the Computer,,
