  1. Wow...me either. I regret selling the truck in the first place...even more so now.
  2. This might work for ya. Check it
  3. There are a bunch for sale on E-Bay. This is just one vendor who had them up for sale. E-Bay Link.
  4. How is the in-cab drone? I have looking at the Banks products for my SD.
  5. Even though I sold my SS last year, I still frequently visit this site. I am still an SS enthusiast and really enjoy keeping up with what folks are doing with their SS's. I would like to see a NNBS forum added; though, I feel it would be just as dead as VHO'ville. Another reason I like this forum is that most folks are friendly and willing to bend over backwards to help you out...something I do not get on GMtrucks, PerformanceTrucks, LS1tech, or DenaliTrucks. Most of those forums are deader than dead and most of the folks that respond are rude. Just my $.02.
  6. Awesome! I laughed. Dave Drove a Ford!

    Props To Gm

Had no doubt this would be your reply. They are my dealer of preference.
  8. Dude, that is complete BS. I've used Compustar products in every one of my 8 fully loaded GM vehicles over the last 10 years and I have never needed to carry both remotes for them to work properly. The shop you used is either lazy, ripping you off, using crappy product, or just completely oblivious to the products they are installing. You're spot on about the interface. A PASSLOCK interface module is necessary to properly tie-in to the GM Data Bus & Security systems. The Avital website even references this and states that a "XpressKit Interface Module" is needed for your application.
  9. Thanks Matt, you pretty much nailed it as to what I am looking to accomplish and the way I am looking to do it.. I came up with a lot of the same info and was really looking for some more trusted, knowledgeable input. I appreciate the reply. Thanks!
  10. How long did it take? The going rate around here is $150 an hour for an established artist, $100-$125 for a new artist. I know my tatts are worth more to me than their cost though. Just as long as you feel you got a good deal in the trade is all that matters, right? Looks good BTW.
  11. Thanks Rob. I've been lurking on LS1 for a while. This is where the idea was set in motion. As you can probably tell from my post, I really have no idea of the scope of work I am getting myself into. If this can be a "small" project, I am all for it. If it is a larger project than I am willing to pay for, then it will be moth balled. Cost is not the issue, but it is an issue.
  12. So, I've started researching a new Cam & engine mods for my Denali. It has the stock L92 6.2 setup with no engine or internal mods done whatsoever. When it comes to internal engine mods, I consider myself to be dangerously knowledgeable (I know enough for it to be dangerous to myself and others). <-- Not a place I want to be making decisions like this from. I've been reading that some have added the LS9 Cam to their 6.2L L92's with no other mods. This sounds good and all, but it leaves me with questions I can't find the answers to. This is where I am looking for some help. This truck is my daily driver. I am looking to retain the daily driver'ness while gaining enough "don't screw with me pal" mid to top end power. So, here goes: Will I have to replace valves, springs, rockers, lifters, or heads if I go with this cam? Will I really gain any advantages with using this cam over the stock cam in the L92? Cam specs from GMPP Catalog are: GM Part # 12638427 Duration @ .050" l:211 E:230 Max Lift (1.7 rocker): I: .562 E: .562 Lobe Separation: 122.5 I've also been looking at the GMPP "Hot Cam." It boasts "0.525-inch lift on both the intake and exhaust sides, along with 219-degree/228-degree duration" for a production LS3 with L92 heads. Thanks in advance.
  13. I think you are going to be spot on. Once you get the chrome back on that bad boy, that color is just going to explode.
  14. Definitely an awesome color choice. Excellent work, Matt!
  15. Pats & Giants. Either way, I think these are going to be 2 very entertaining games that could go either way. Personally, I think the Giants are playing the best Playoff football...
  16. Saints vs 49ers was a pretty incredible game!
  17. so much for that idea... forgot the shuffle doesn't have the dock connector.
  18. I have the Compustar RF-P2W901-SS in both my wife's 08 Tahoe and my 11 Sierra Denali. I've also had variations of the Compustar RF-2w900 in my last 6 vehicles; including the 2w900 w/ security on the SS. I swear by compustar's products and will never purchase another brand for my trucks. I've not had one single problem with any of their products, except for the occasional remote gone bad. My installer warrantied the two failures I had though. My installer uses the Blade bypass module to integrate with GM passlock. Compustar is top-notch, in my opinion. $500 installed on the Denali & Tahoe. The SS was a bit more since I had the remote start & security systems...right around $600 though.
