Is there any 145 amp that I can buy and use and that I don't have to change anything else? Just put the new 145 amp in and thats it?

Model? as in ?? a 145 amp is a 145 amp correct? or no ?

Went to put a new alternator in my 04' ss and I bought a 145 amp and the casing is to big. Everything bolts up good and plugs are all good but the casing is just to big. I saw on here a few times people saying that 03' ss came with a 105 amp and 04'ss and newer came with 145 amp. Not sure if this is true. I used to work at gm for a long time awhile back but I went there and looked it up through the gm computer and for my 04'ss theres only one option that they give and it's a 105 amp. I bought the 145 amp at advanced auto. I really want a 145 amp. Any suggestions?

Does anyone here have Mod Express for their HID kits? If you do, do you like them? Any issues with them etc??

I have had the same issues with my HIDS.. Like, my HIDS will take a little bit to get bright.. But once in awhile, not all the time, when I switch to the high beams, they flicker real quick. It bothers me because I am not sure if there is something wrong or not. I have my HIDS from Mod Express. Does anyone else have a kit from there? If you do, do you like or dislike them?

Need some help. I have a 04' SS and my dome lights don't work. At first it was intermittenent. Like the lights would come on when I opened my door once in awhile. Now, theres no lights at all. They will come on if I push the little black button. But the two little lights that turn on with the black push button and the dome light itself will not come on. I am very smart and worked at a gm dealership for a long time and I can't figure this one out. I did put the scanner on it and it is a u1000 code again, which means it could be anything.. I was thinking maybe a door lock module, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

Looking to buy a bowtie emblem for the front of my grill for my 04' ss. I think shopman is the guy to get me one but everytime I go to his site, it doesn't totally work. Maybe he can leave a number for me to call and order one. Thanks

I work for GM parts and all you need to do is, a "spac" case. and know you to talk to. Also you can do a dealer connect. Need to work for Gm in parts to do this.

I have an 04' SS and my brakes always felt spongy.. The problem is that the slides in the rear calipers get dirt and grime in them and when brakes are applied, the slides don't push the pads to the rotor that well..

Please try to help me with this. Ok, I have an 04' ss. I take real good care of it. It has like 40ish thousand miles. Last Saturday, I started it up and let it run for a few minutes put the a/c on then took off down the street about 1000 feet. Then stopped and turned right and about 10 seconds after that I lost everything. My motor was still running great, but I lost my onstar, power locks, passenger side window, radio, h-vac control and my cluster all went bad. All the lights were on the cluster. So I went home, ans checked battery terminals and they were tight. So I work at a gm dealership and I took it there that Saturday to put the scanner on it. The scanner could not even get in to the trucks computer to get any codes. At this point I am pissed. My good friend that is ranked 3rd in the country for gm was at a lost. So we were thinking ok, maybe its a ground, a short, data link cable, or a bad module. So he was standing there and I wanted to start my truck back up agian. When I did everything came back to normal like nothing had happened. I hurried up and but the scanner on it and the scanner showed a U1000 code/ That could be many different things . So I get in and as I am just sitting there for like 2 minutes, it did it again. Everything shut off but the motor still running great. I took the truck home still the crap that I mentioned not working and left it till Monday night. As I was bringing it back there Monday night everything was working fine again, although the a/c was on and the drivers side was blowing cold air and the passneger was hot air. I know for fact that both knobs were turned down to 60. He called today and said that he tried most of the day to get it to duplicate the concern and no luck. Any one have any issue like this ? Please help ...

I have an 04' ss and not to argue but it was the heat that did mine in. It was so bad that it expanded and starting to rub agaisnt the door. I brought mine to the dealership and they had it painted and fixed up in a day. They put a new one on. and no problems since. If I remember right, there was member here that had a picture of that same problem.

I am sorry. I had a rough day, and I was not to the point on my earlier post. I was wondering if the Ebay mats that the poster showed the link to are mats that will for sure fit my SS. Thanks
