Black04SS

This 04 SSS has dual zone AC with temp setting. From time to time one side or the other will go full hot. After the truck is restarted it goes back to normal.Happens summer or winter. Anyone else experience this ? What's the problem / fix ? TIA,Black04SS

Warren,,the $20 Liquid Glass would have made your Red SSS look so good you'd have kept it Haven't used the $100 stuff yet LOL the cheap stuff is bad a$$ Just use an old t-shirt to put it on and buff it off.Be sure to wash all the wax off first,,Liquid Glass is not wax Makes dark colors look like their dipped in clear

I bought a can of the regular Liquid Glass and put it on my red 1967 Nova SS. Looks like it's been clear coated,,nice shine and easy to use. I'd recommend it. Next the SSS

I understand from a mechanic / tech at a dealership that they change quite a few transfer cases on Z71's because the oil pump wares a hole in the case and the case burns up do to lack of oil. Do we have the same problem with the SSS transfer cases ??

Well I'm doing regular maintainceon the 04SSS at 116997 miles;Mobil1 oil change,,grease front end and I check the brakes I keep service records like an old woman keeps grocery coupons and I've never put brake pads on this truck,,bought it new Their fine,,,fronts are 1/4 thick rears are 1/8 thick I'll change rotors B4 pads Anyone else have this problem? Is this normal for an SSS ? I've owned Chevy and GMC pick ups all my life and always get 20 to 30,000 miles on pads,, SS

My son's 2003 Black SSS Speedometer just stopped working today . Is there a fuse or a sensor unpluged ? Would like to know before taking it to the dealer . Thanks in advance,Black04SS

The little grill over the drivers left sholder on the headliner is making a noise in the morning when cold.After a few minutes it's fine. Anyone have experience with this ? Black04SS

SS Silv Man you've got it going now.You sound like an intelligent young man with a future. As you have realized,drinking is not the root problem,,it's the reaction to WHAT IS CAUSING the depression. I know first hand of a young person that had been sexually abused as a child and this drove them to drinking.During treatment for depression they "told the story" and changed from being the victim to someone with a goal who had learned from this event. Mr P thanks for the insite,,please give us an indepth explaination of the "returnless" fuel system and how it is different from the 03's and earlier models. ie; are the injectors and fuel managment "on the engine" the same? What's the recomended service life of the "in tank" filters? Enquiring minds want to know Black04SS

Thanks for the thread Ray. My 04 had a long tether B4 the wreck,,got used to hanging the tether on the door hook while gassing up.Maybe this is an early 04?? With my son having an 03SSS,one of us would have noticed a difference by now Black04SS

Every Chevy / GMC truck we've owned going back to 1994 has had the fuel filter on the frame under the drivers seat,,,my son's 03SSS has it there ,but my 04SSS's fuel filter is nowhere to be found. Are they in the tank on the 04's ? TIA Black 04SS

About 30 days ago I was rear-ended only bumper and hitch damage,,,but the body shop had to remove or move the body and in the process replaced my gas cap with one with a short tether. Now thier telling me the long one that actually reachs the gas door doesn't exist My sons 03SSS has the long tether,,like mine used too Any help would be appriciated. Black04SS
