  1. Still for sale. Just so you guys know the underside of the hood is painted with a base coat/ clear coat matching the top.
  2. More pictures of hood on different trucks. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/topic/41272-plonex-international-hood/
  3. Good condition. $375. Pick up in Santa Maria, California ONLY. No shipping.
  4. The tech 2 only flashes PCMs with factory tunes or tunes related to a driveabilty problem. "Performance Tunes" are not possible with a Tech 2. For something like that I'd recommend EFI live. As far as reflash capabilites with the Tech 2 goes disks are no longer used. It's all done through downloads via the internet. Check out this site: http://service.gm.com/index_en-US/tis.html
  5. And here it is getting towed by the SSS. I went 500 miles round trip and got an average of 14 mpg.
  6. Well, I went with the majority here and got a Camaro SS. With the miles and price i couldn't pass up this 98...
  7. I have a opportunity to purchase either car for a daily driver. From guys that have owned either what are some of the pros and cons of each?
  8. You can try disconnecting the battery for a minute. Hook it back up and see what happens...without seeing the truck my guess would be a bad HVAC control head.
  9. Only 2003 models have cloth door panel inserts above the armrest and no black tint around the rear taillamps. Late 04 and 2005+ build dates have a extra scew at the rear section of the front door panels...early 04 build dates and all 03s do not. 2003 is the only year for a passenger door key hole.
  10. After re reading the original post I see the fuel pump was not repalced. I thought it was. In any case a fuel pressure test is in order as the others have suggested.
  11. The thing shouldve thrown codes if it had a stock pcm calibration. Since its been tuned some dtc processing enablers were probably modified which makes the mil worthless at this point.
  12. Run it with tha MAF disconnected. By doing so it should go to a speed density mode. If it runs better you most likely have a bad MAF or an air leak between the MAF and throttle body. The best way though would be to check the grams/sec pid on a scan tool or scope it with a dso. Since you dont have cats you can pretty much eliminate the possibilty of a restricted exhaust which would be my first guess with the video you presented. You said you replaced the fuel pump. I'd still like to see the actual pressure going to the rails. At mininmum 55 PSI. Of course it could just be a bad batch of gas. Keep us updated on what you find.
  13. Check for a possible air leak in your intake tubing between the maf and throttle body.
  14. It sounds like you have bad speedo stepper motor. Gm has extended the warranty on the entire cluster for problems like this for 7 years or 70K.
  15. Im curious as to how they got it to stay running with the security light on. What scan tool does your buddy have?
  16. It could be someting as simple as a bad starter bendix drive hitting the flywheel.
  17. Unbolt the two shifter linkage bracket bolts. I believe its a Torx 45. If you feel brave you can always bend the bracket back with a pry bar.
  18. I'm ready to order the Lingenfelter GT2-3 camshaft and Comp 7955-16 pushrods. Which springs would you guys use? The LS6 or Comp 918?
