  1. Way sorry to hear about your truck, that really sucks especially since blue is the best color. Those autolock devices are not all they are cracked up to be. Same with alot of the other antitheft devices. If the thieves know what they are doing then they can get almost any vehicle out there. Also for anyone that doesn't know OnStar can be disabled very easily. Best thing i've found is a device called LoJack, before i got my SS i had my 02 Chevy stolen with LoJack on it. It's kinda like a homing becon when it's activated and most police depts, especially ones with high veh thefts have them. Once the vehicle is entered as stolen it activates the beacon and the cops can home in on it with no problems. Depending on where you live the beacon can broadcast up to 15 miles away. Like i said my other truck had it when it got stolen and after i reported it they called me like 3 hrs later and said they had found it in the back of a auto shop who had just started to strip it down. The truck was stolen in Henderson NV and they found it in North Las Vegas. They had only gotten the wheels and the hood off when they found it. I'm not advocating that its the best and it won't help the truck not get stolen but it sure helped in recovering it b4 any permanent damage was done. Now i won't go with anything else on my SSS

Where in Henderson? I live in North Las Vegas. Lucky for me no one ever messed with my truck, two weeks ago I put the 791 Viper in. I have stayed in my GF's apartment before in Henderson; off Sunset and Annie Oakley never had a problem.

  2. I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, would this record enough data to enable a tuner (PCM4LESS) to make a better tune?
Well, you can buy a copy of Autotap for your laptop/computer for $199 and it's capabilities are far better. But it would take a lot of velcro to mount your laptop to your dash. :joker:

    Mr. P.

Correct me if I am wrong but, Autotap will only work on the vehicle you match it too?

  3. LOL, so what about a half gallon in a full tank? I get a military discount at most of the auto places including Oreilly's. I think I paid a little over 3$ for a can of Sea Foam. Anything you need Mr. P? :)

You sir are my NEW bestest friend.

    • 1 gallon in full tank = 5.3 ounces SeaFoam / gallon of gas
    • 1.5 cans in 1/4-tank = 4 ounces SeaFoam / gallon of gas (what I recommend for injector cleaning)
    • 0.5 gals in 1/2-tank = 2.6 ounces SeaFoam / gallon of gas
    • 1 can in 3/4 tank = 1 ounce SeaFoam / gallon of gas (this is the '5000-mile directions' on the can)

So yeah a 1/2-gallon in a 1/2-tank of fuel should continue to clean very well and then drop back to a regular injector cleaning schedule (1 can in 3/4-tank of gas every 5000-miles).

    Mr. P.

Just start thinking about what you need. I am not sure if its 10 or 15%, but I know I get hooked up.

Oh and do you see a need to replace the PCV valve?

  4. I myself couldn't afford to treat a whole tank of gas! For regular use I would use according to the directions on the can, at least 1 pint per 8-10 gallons of fuel, that's 3 cans per full tank. It would be more economical to buy a whole gallot of seafoam ($45 here at Oreilly's) and add to a full tank.

AFA safe concentration - you could double that mixture and still not hurt the engine, it's a petroleum product! I wouldn't think that you would benefit at any mixture ratio greater above that.

  5. Well, I followed the trusty advice from MisterP and Fox. And I am good to go again. I disconnected the battery and waited about 20 mins. Reconnected and good to go. Took a quick test drive around base no problems yet. I am going out to dinner in a bit. So if any issues come up I will let you know. WOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO was nervous there for a second.

  6. My baby threw some codes yesterday while idle. She is running great, maybe even a little better then usual. I did a sea foam treatment on wendsday no problems till saturday. So I went to autozone and had them check my codes. Here is what they are:

P0135 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

P0141 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

P0155 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

P0161 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)

Oh and the dude wouldnt even reset the light.

I am pretty sure these codes wont reset them selves like others will. Or could my O2 sensors be done for good?

And how do I approach the dealer on this one? Just play dumb?

  7. HELP, i did the seafoam treatment, i put 1 and half cans in little over a quarter tank of premium, rest in PCV 3 days ago. Today I started my truck and got a check engine light. Little under an 1/8 tank left. I added half a tank of 92, havent driven much yet. Could it be the seafoam in the fuel?

Anyone close to San Angelo, TX have a code tool????????

  8. I say for sure absolutely do it! The US Patent office has a website and the patent filings are searchable, I would start there because you can do that for free. If it appears that nobody has filed a patent on your idea then I would hire an attorney to do the legwork for you; they charge you a flat rate for shuffling the papers. Even if somebody later does think of your idea and decides to make your invention, you can sue for royalties - it was legally your idea (up to 20-yrs?).

    Mr. P.

I would like to market it. I really belive it could save alot injuries to Fire Fighters. If I can help some people out and make a few $$$ then why not.

  9. Stock SS would have probably a good .5-1 seconds on the HD, that is if it has a 6.0L LQ4 and 3.73's.

I have a friend with a 2500 with a 6.0 and that thing is sooooo sllooooooow. Now I have never ridden in an SS but I think they must be faster than that.

Want to race when I get back in town? I would like to line up with a modded HEMI. :seeya:

  10. I have the issue and have her on MySpace. Everyone out here in Kunsan Air Base Korea all thanked her to help us stay warm in the cold months out here. It was a nice spead and you see all.
