  1. yes you can run reg fuel in a flex fuel vehicle I have ran 2 tanks and am now on E85 I filled up yesterday, it was about $8.00 cheaper I would think the avalanche you saw was painted by a upfitter and not at the factory . usually Regeny/Explorer etc does the custom painting on top of the factory paint but as you said you should be able to have it painted. Iam sure its a pretty penny though.
  2. Sorry to say The Arrival bule is no longer on the SS The E85 is hard to find in some areas you mau want to GOOGLE it to see if there is a station around you I found one in Kansas City for $2.10 PER GALLON

  6. All I can say is drive one , being around Chevrolets and Hummers all dayI usually dont get too excited about vehicles, but I drove the 07 Avalance and that's all it took I was hooked . Listed my truck SS on Ebay and it sold with in a week and now I'am driving a Black LTZ . oh and since I was never much of a fan of the old body style Avalance it totally took me by suprise . All I can say it If you get a chance to drive one DO IT you' wont be sorry.

  10. My son 16 made me a Web page for my SS. I think it's pretty cool since I can hardly turn a computer on http://www.socomcity.net/ss/ss/ I have a dilema and need opinions , I drove a new 2007 avalanche and Tahoe I found myself wanting to buy one since they drove soooooo nice and smooth ,the interior is awsome. now here"s the dilema since Automotive news and the press say the 2007 Silverado truck is not going to be like the 2007 Tahoe I had my son make me a web page so I could list on Ebay and try to sell ????? does anyone know what the SS's are bringing for the year 2004 and miles (53000)is what I currently have. the dealership I work at is offering me $22k trade and kbb says retail should be around $24k to $25k and if I trade it in Chevrolet has a $1500.oo incentive for anyone that trades in a 1999 and older GM vehicle. that would be 22k plus $1500 = $23,500 or sell on my own and try to get top dollar??????????? dunno what to do ???? What would you do ??????????????????? jwachevy wanting a new 2007 avalanche or tahoe
  11. There is a benefit letting the dealer service your vehicle 1. If you have service performed at the regular intervals you will have a better chance getting a repair covered that is out of warranty. as for right now GM is wanting to take care of their customers, if a issue arises with the customers vehicle you will have a better chance than if you have your vehicle serviced at Jiffy lube and then roll in to the dealership and want help with a out of warranty GOODWILL on your vehicle 04CHASE is right it's better and cheaper to do it yourself and just keep the reciepts for the parts and keep a log on what was performed. 2. Most dealership have Trained technicians (the good ones) that know the right way to perform the repairs or maintenance , they also have Bulletins and other information that they may be able to catch when performing the Inspection 04CHASE was talking about and perfrom at no charge. 3.When needing service comparing prices is not always the best thing to do , as we all know we get what we pay for and the indenpendent is not always cheaper. i.e when was the last time you have seen or known somebody that got a $69.00 brake job ???? usually not , it seems these low ball prices turn into calipers, brake hoses, caliper slides ,rotors, master cylinder, brake flush to the tune of $1300.00 for a $130.00 brake job . I have only seen a handfull of vehicles needing their calipers replaced in 20 years as a Dealership employee like 04CHASE stated the Service writer is only doing her job in trying to protect your 2nd most expensive investment your automobile.
