As I am sitting here watching the pre-race. I finally worked up enough nerve to post this. I have been hearing rumors about the Toyota and Caterpiller getting together for the full size tundra. I have been wondering this all week. Cat is backing the toyota race team. I for one think that they could really give the big 3 a run for there money with that addition. Now I will crawl back into my bunker and wait for the fury to unload...........I did hear an intresting fact though that the Toyota is the only car in todays race that is made in america.....

My 03 is really good in the snow and ice. Just rember that it's really easy to get going...It's the stopping part that gets ya every time. I get about 16 with flowmasters and an AEM.

Yoko avid suv's....Pick up rocks pretty bad but work well (Nothing works great) in snow like um so far.

They just get worse most of the time. I had mine replaced under extended warr and mine said I was going 80 at 25. Just watch the miles get put on driving around town. There has been quite a few lately. Mine lasted less then a week before it went really nuts. Lost my tach ect. Good luck

Sorry it was the driver's seat only. Then I had them reset the PCM on my tab. Just so we had everything to a zero point to start over with.

Ok here's the final answer. They reprogramed the seat BCM and as always they couldn't find anything that was wrong with the wipers. (Stupid truck) and we ended up having the PCM reset to "Stock settings" Which I had to pay for beacuse there was "nothing wrong" Per Gm so my bank account is $100 lighter and I got 50% fixed. Thanks guys good call on the BCM. But I did get my Hooters for lunch! So it wasn't a complete loss

Could this be part of the needing to be "Reflashed" Gotta make a call to my dealer. To bad it's 2 hours to Omaha or Des Moines. It's ok though both have a hooters. Yummmy. Thanks guys!

Mine did the same thing. It will most likely get worse and worse and your speedo and or tach will show way off (Mine said 80 at 20) and then nothing. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Maybe it won't happen P.S. how many of SSS in the Des Moines area?

Yesterday my truck started doing so really weird stuff. First off when I turned on my wipers they went up about half way jerked all over (back and forth) and then went back down. I tried it three times with the same results. Then that night when I started my truck the driver seat takes off smashing me into the wheel and then moving back to half way (center). Note: I have had this loud pop whenever I start the truck that has always been there. (sounds like someone touching jumper cables together. Gm says its normal) but after sitting out at a friends last night it started at -11 so I am not thinking battery?? Anyones thoughts.

I can tell you that I have used all the money and then some with my GMPP. Whenever I take it in they seem to be more then happy to try and get it fixed. Plus rental car is covered. I went with the -0- deduct just for the fact of it can be kinda hard to come up with 500 bucks when ever. The most important part is to find a dealer who will work with you and has a "good" tech. If you have to look around and remind them "One happy owner tells 100 people and an unhappy one tells 50,000 on the internet." And lets face it Chevy can't afford to be playing games right now they NEED repeat customers.

I have the pasport cordless it runs on 2 AA's and I like it alot! the last two passports my friend and I had started just beeping for no reason all the time. So we had to send them back and for 45.00 they replaced them. Not bad service! I guess I always figure "How much is my DL worth to me?" when buying one. I have run into like 4 black SSS's in the K.C. area. There seems to be quite a few out here. 2 red in omaha and 1 blue one in Linclon Ne. Glad you outran the ice-snow storm we just had. Gotta love AWD!!!!

I have both the low and high beams (PIAA). Also with the quad hi beam kit. This is almost what I think of as a requirement here in deer country! The light is alot better then stock and my dealer has a warr on them if they burn out in under a year. I have them in everything in the garage and most of my friends have them in anything from mini-vans to SSS. theres another .02

Thanks for all the views as of now we are looking at aftermarket tanks and thinking of trying to get GM to cover these things. They all seem to be problem areas except the tank. But the local dealer sas this has happened on two other trucks????? (NOTE: I wouldn't take a flat tire to these guys) But yet the other big city dealers have never heard of this? Hummmmm. I just got new tires and my others had 70,000 on them and the centers where getting bad as where the sides. I ran high pressure in them praying for MPG. When I talked to the tire dealer he said run whats on the door. (I got yoko avid SUV) I just couldn't run the stocks safely through this winter. I thought that was real high mileage for stockers. At about 50,000 I aired them up from factory to the 44psi max

Just a thought I saw you had a K&N I had this problem with my AEM when I oiled the filter. The fourm guys had me clean the MAF screen and the oil just ran off the screen. Use elec parts cleaner.

My friends dad has a 2003 chevy 2500HD with almost 55,000 miles on it. (No extended warr.) The truck started to take less and less fuel to fill and upon further looking we found the fuel tank had started to cave in on itself. Fuel cap is down to about 15 gal now and the dealership wants at least $1500 to replace it! I am trying to find out if this is a common problem to this year or model. He now has the steering shaft problem (Clunking-loose) and the speedo problem(Says he's going 80 at 30 mph.) that my SS had and of course the dealership says these are not common problems and will be more then happy to replace them at his cost. I need some ammo to go to them with does anyone have the TSB numbers to these problems? Also any ideas on how the fuel tank could have done this? (Plugged vent line, clogged fuel filter, Ect) Any help would be great! Thanks Mod: If this is in the wrong place please feel free to move to where it needs to be.

I had a superchips handheld and if you read my post you can see why I don't like it. I can tell you with 91 oct 2-40 flowmasters and a AEM I am getting about 17 MPG while I am on driving probation. (Drive like a granny) It has good power but it can always be better. As for the hypertech my friend has one on his 7.3 powerstroke and he switched to a bully dog and you can't believe the diffrence. Hypertech seems to me like the are quite conservitive in there tunes. Just my experince and .02 Ill sell ya a superchips programer cheap

I bought a superchips hand held about 2 years ago. After taking my truck into the dealership to have my 2nd front end rebuild I plugged it in and got a error message to call superchips. Ok not to bad yet I call them and tell them whats going on and they tell me I need the VIN The sale slip and somthing else (I was to mad by this time to rember) Or I could pay 200 and just send it to them. So now I have to give up my VIN and other personal information or pay 200 for a replacement handheld? So in short before you pay for one from your buddy or E-Bay or anything else rember it will cost you 200 to reflash it if you don't have your recipt and want to give up your personal info. For what its worth I bought this from a local parts house who got my recipt and all but who wants to give up all there personal info to someone you don't know? Just my .02.

Ok after a search I now have some hints of what and where my problem may lay but nothing has worked. My 03 has a problem with idle (about 400 by fact tach) and when in cruise control when coming down a hill it surges like it is trying to go faster. Truck runs almost the same except at idel it really likes to die in corners and as soon as you let off the gas it goes right to idle. The only other differace I have seen is my tranny gauge has started to creap up outa where it always sat and the oil gauge reads about 20 then at hyway speed it jumps to 50. I have had one dash put in and also of note have a superchips in it. I have just cleaned the A.E.M. with K&N and reoiled. The problem seemed to have come right after the filter was cleaned but my local dealer said to put the stock tune in and disconnect the battery for 30 min. I have done this twice with no luck. They seem to think it's the PCM but thought I would get your ideas?
