Chevron and Texaco are now merged, therefor you get the same techron additive.Texaco or chevron fuels are the same.
-
If it has flat top pistons it is a LQ9,if the pistons are dished it is an LQ4
WShat did the motor come out of?
-
It depends how you have it setup
you can have a window switch,WOT switch and or both
If you want to spray it off the line then have it on a WOT switch on the pedal, and of course you need the arming switch
If you want to delay the nitrous or progress it you can do that also.
With some good tuning, heat range colder plugs (NGK TR6) you will be good to go
it is also a good idea to run a FPSS (fuel pressure safety switch)
How much you wanting to spray?

Shells aditives are high quality along with Chevron fuels. If you run Sheel, chevron Exxon you will have alot less chance of build up.I have some very good reading material but is pretty lengthy.LOL

take the 02 pcm and flash a stock 02 5.3 file in it.You must do a write entire to do this
you use 2 credits inorder flash a different os and vin number in,unless you have a full year liscence for 99 and 02

also, what year is the S10 PCM and what is the service number?
If you need a stock file I will email you one
You can email me the file you are working with at
-
you must do a write ENTIRE to change to a different OS Also if the pcm has the 4.3 file and OS in the PCM,you need to flash a 99 5.3 file and OS,to do this Write Entire
Also, after you that disable your VATs and see what that does

Here is what Frank at Performabuilt says, this guy knows trannies.
Trans temps- This question gets ask a lot. What’s TOO HOT? Well ideally you want you average temp to stay under 190 degrees however I would not get to concerned till the temps get at and or over 230 degrees. Heat can damage a trans but with the exception of extreme heat 250 or higher this damage is a long term killer by breaking down fluid and causing rubber seals to harden and break.

In all honest, save for some longtubes IMO.Shorties really are not worth the time or money
edelbrock shorties on a 02 5.3 Z71 gained only 4 rwhp at peak, other than that is was the same lowend and midrange.Pretty much a waste.
Hope this helps some
Is It Possible?

True, but if they have a veeder-root alarms will sound if there is any water int he ground. Not all store have a veeder-root as they are very expensive.when fuel is dropped int he ground there is a pipe that fills the tank from the bottom up,that way it does not stir anything up while to tanks are filled int he ground. It is pretty neat how they are designed
All tank now adays are fiberglass, nbot steel like in the 70's
