  5. Hey all, I have an '02 with 116k miles on it. Recently, when I first start the truck, I can hear a clicking sound coming from the tranny while at idle in park. Only at idle, if I rev at all it stops, then comes back when the engine settles at idle. I can hear it in the cab. Sounds like a marble or two is loose in there, however its steady clicking, not random. Not sure if it does it in gear, with tire noise and stuff its hard to tell. The tranny doesn't slip or give me any other problems. When the truck has been driving for a bit the sound is almost gone, but still there alittle. Any ideas? Nate
  6. How do you calibrate the MAF? I'm going to do some more trouble shooting soon. Its got to be a bad component somewhere or somthing, could it really just get out of calibration all of a sudden? I'll check the other things you mentioned too sinr, thanks. How do I tell if its going from open to closed loop on HPtuners? (I haven't used the program in a few years) Nate
  7. This one is alittle beyond me, I need some help from the pros... I have an '03 Silverado SS with the 6.0. 106k miles, bone stock now, factory tune and has been for 3 years. A couple of weeks ago, when starting cold the truck would misfire until it warmed up alittle, or I mashed the gas at low speed (pulling out of the neighborhood). I finally decided to investigate once it finally threw a blinking check engine light a few times this light would extinguish once the truck started running ok) BTW the truck runs perfectly once its warmed up, even if it is shut off and started warm after this. I have HP Tuners so I hooked it up to get the code, P0300 misfire as I suspected. I also noticed that my IAT was way high, 144 *F when the truck was cold and not running. Once started it would creep down to the mid 120's. I've ran scans a half of a dozen times and its consistent. Also, after starting cold, and it starts to misfire, my LTB1's go nuts while its misfiring, so I guess something it making it think its running lean and dumping fuel into the drivers side bank? Once it warms up, everything smooths out and returns to normal, except for the IAT's (02's stay rock solid through all of this). Hoping there was a problem with the MAF I replaced it, which seemed to help alittle but still getting a misfire and IAT's are exactly the same as before. What do you all think? Did I possibly get a new bad MAF from the autoparts store (I got a reman). All help much appreciated, want to try to fix this and not have to take it to the shop, they will probably be stumped too and charge me a bunch for nothing. Nate
  8. Looking for offers for my good condition used stock SS silver rims. Would be available in about 2 weeks. Nate
  9. Ok did it, i dunno its so close it would be hard to tell without seeing it in real life i think, but im still kinda interested to just spruce up the outside of my truck just alittle and rims always seem to make a big diff. i dont want to spend more than what i could get these wheels for, and i like this kinda style. What do you guys think? Also, does anybody know how much a pretty decent used set of stock SS rims will get on ebay these days? that will help too.
  10. Yea i guess thats what i might have to do, i'll do it this weekend when i get back from tampa and post it up here for you guys. Nate
  11. Was just wondering, does anybody have thier SS on the new style 20'' rims that comes on some newer tahoes? They kinda look like the stock SS rims but are brushed aluminum, and designed a tad different. I have just the stock grey ss rims now. If so, do you have a pic of the truck with them on? A buddy of mine is getting rid of his rims, and if it looks better i was thinkin of gettin him to give me a deal. Thanks, Nate
  12. Thanks for the response. So a cleaner was has the same amount of protection than the others the only difference being it cleans as well??
  13. Does the protection lifetime differ between these waxes? What are some of the other pro's and cons of each? I'm really interested in the cleaner wax as i would like to use it on my next wax job, but dont want to if it doesn't last as long. Your thoughts? Nate
  14. Exactly what i needed, thanks HAZMAT!! Nate
  15. Nobody knows? I know you guys are replacing your fuel pumps, what are you using for fuel line in there?? Please help i have a leak and my fuel pressure is starting to get worse.... Nate

I dont want to be driving down the road and all of a sudden have no steering It has been a while admittadly since i have been on the forum, has a fix been found for this problem? 19. Called autometer today and the gentleman sent out a new sender.... THANKS chpspecial!!!!
  20. Hey guys first let me refer you to a post i did alittle more than a year ago: http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...40&hl=natez A new sending unit fixed the problem, for around 100 bux i think it was. Now this is starting to happen again, and i dont really want to spend another 100 bux on it. Has anybody else on this forum experienced this problem from Autometer sending units/gauges or am i the only one? Thanks, Nate
  21. Anybody happen to know for sure? i would buy both but each part is like 6 bux each... Nate
