Check fuses and wiring. I'd have to look up the power circuit, but many of those are likely on the same circuit. The maf could be a power issue or an air leak from the maf to the throttle body. I don't understand where cleaning the maf is going to fix shift solenoid codes. That whole clean the maf idea comes up on here alot and is pretty much never the fix.
I was hoping you would reply. I noticed you have lots of info on the trannys.
I checked for post MAF leaks and could not find any. I also checked for loose or damaged wires around the engine and trans and could not find any either. I have not yet checked the fuses but will do so before my next drive.
The three trans codes were pending in my last scan and if they did not trip again on the next drive then they are erased. I took another drive and everything worked properly so the codes are no longer there. My CAT and EVA symbols are still flashing and that means those monitors have not run since I re-set my codes. I do not know how long that takes but I have been on two drives where everything was more than warmed up. Because of the flashing symbols, my emissions ready status is still in the yellow.
I have appointments this morning so I will get another chance to test the systems. I will post back if anything else happens.
Thanks again!

I suppose the ignition switch module is a dealer only item?
Is there any way to test mine or do you just replace it and hope it works?
Thanks

Check for a post MAF vacuum leak like Bob said....next is to replace the MAF sensor......
Hello,
Tthanks again for the info. I have been able to reset the codes and the check engine light is no longer lit. 2 of the monitors are still flashing (CAT and EVA) The emission status light is yello on my reader. I also have three codes listed again
P0740 Torque converter clutch solenoid circuit
P0785 Shift/timing solenoid
P2761 Torque converter clutch pressure control solenoid control circuit/open
The three codes are pending.
Anyone else have these problems before?
I have also experienced all the other usual problems'
Low speed turns with growling noise from drive train.
Heated seats do not work
One of the seat adjustment features does not work.
Not sure if there are electrical gremlins but I do not think so.
Thanks!

Clean your MAF sensor. A dirty MAF can cause shift issues along with a host of other codes. Pick up a can of MAF cleaner or Electrical Contact Cleaner and spray it down....
Thanks for the info! I tried that and no change. I also re-installed an original style air filter element.
Any ideas?

I have a 2004 SS with 52,000 miles (owned since new) and all stock except a drop in K&N airfilter installed new out of the box without additional oil last summer.
Last week my engine light came on and then went off the next day. I did not notice any other problems then.
Today the light was back on and my trans did not shift correctly. Like it started off in second and did not shift to third or overdrive.
My obdII reader has 7 codes. The first is a P0101 ( mass or volume air flow circuit) and there is freeze frame data with it. ( Fuel system 1 & 2 Closed loop, calculated load 32.9%, STFT Bank 1 6.2%, LTFT Bank 1 17.1%, STFT Bank 2 0.0%, LTFT Bank 2 17.1%, Intake manifold pressure 26.5 in hg. Vehicle speed 50mph, Mass air flow sensor 011.69 lb/min. Throttle position 47.0%)
The other codes are;
P0758 Shift solenoid B - Electrical
P0101 Mass or volume air flow circuit - Pending
P0740 Torque converter clutch solenoid circuit - Pending
P0753 Shift solenoid A Electrical - Pending
P0758 Shift solenoid B Electrical - Pending
P0785 Shift/timing solenoid - Pending
All of the searching I have done on here seems to point to the MAF or the CAT's. 52,000 miles seems low for bad CAT's but who knows.
I have always used premium fuel since new and Mobile 1 Synthetic since after the first oil change.
I am pretty mechanically inclined and would prefer to fix it myself rather than take it to a dealer so any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

I found the IGN 0 and IGN 3 but not so sure about the IGN 1. All fuses in both boxes are OK.
The trans acted up again today and now I have the three pending trans codes again. The CAT symbol on my code reader is no longer flashing but the EVA symbol still is so my emissions ready status is still yellow.
Although I sure could use one way up here in Alaska, I do not have an auto start.
I can shift gears using the column shift but if I put it in D or 3 it starts off in a higher gear.
Any other ideas?
