hey guys, havent posted in damn near forever but a recent glitch with my truck has the mechanics at the local chevy place confused.. Monday night I went to start my truck up, turned the key, the engine turned over them BAM, everything went dead AND smoke came from the steering column.. the dude at the chevy dealer told me they mounted a new 'body control module' (w/e that is) and with that installed about 2/3 of my electronics still have no power.. then he said whatever happened it happened good and they still have no clue.. sooooo has anyone ever heard of anything like this happening?? and i know,,,, strong first post back.. thanks for the replies
  4. i dont like to be the hijacker of threads but i found this the other day.. check it out and see what you guys think... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xuEUmnEVJQk also, google the disclosure project and watch that video.. its more than an hour long but some of the stuff they infer/believe to be true is insane... for example one guy claims to have seen pictures taken by apollo astronauts of bases on the back side of the moon.. some other guy says that when he got out of the project he was working on in 1989 they had identified 57 different species of alien or something like that... pure insanity
  5. i second this mans opinion,.. this is what im currently running and i know that i wake up my whole apartment complex when i go to my 6ams for football... plus my roomie tells me he can hear me from 3 blocks away when i gun it..
  6. ewww... not digging the whole front bumper deal
  7. i go every year... always a good time... i usually go with a bunch of buddies but we'll all be down for some brews with some fellow SSS enthusiasts!!
  8. go big blue!!!! gmen all the way.... 28-25 gmen
  9. well they are amazing.. i had them put on tuesday afternoon but had to go down to school for a few days... these wheels are siiiiiick.... i have pics but since im retarted i still have probs posting so if someone would be so kind as to host the pics for me that would be great....
  10. negative lol.... my buddy works at a place called mobile concepts so he ordered them through his dealers... $1850 total mounted and balanced... im pumped.... yes yes well if they made them black in 22's i would have... since they dont, chrome it is... i shall post pics when they get put on sometime tuesday
  11. well.... ill be putting in the order 2morrow.... im getting the torque thrust st in chrome 20x8.5" and wrapping them in pirelli scorpion atr's 275/55R20......ill attempt to post pics once they are on (hopefully monday)...thanks for everyones help!
  12. hankg42 those look real nice!! i wanted black but they dont make the 6 lug in black, only the competition grey and chrome.... can someone help me out though, when i go to tirerack.com they only have the grey ones listed to fit our trucks, even though they make the exact same wheel in chrome...
  13. well you never know... the new pics of the production camaro look almost the same as the concept they released a while back...
  14. if that car is lower than 50k im all for it... the older ctsv's were awesome because the average person could afford one... hopefully gm keeps it reasonably priced
  15. yea i wanted to get them in 22's which i saw available in thier new catalogue... when i went to thier site they only have them up to 20s.... either way im going to have to give them a call
  16. well, i can finally afford a set of wheels, so my stock wheels are finally getting replaced... im torn on whether to get the chrome torque thrusts or the black, since my red sss has black hockey stripes and blacked out grill/ brake vents... here are some links to the wheels (im looking to get the 20's) ... let me know what you think http://asp.americanracing.com/dealerline/b...mega/m105MB.jpg or http://asp.americanracing.com/dealerline/b.../mega/m605M.jpg now seeing that i have no knowledge of offsets and what not, if i went with the 20's which would i have to get?? also i know the bolt patterns are different so would i need an adapter?? http://www.americanracing.com/browse_ar.asp thanks for everyones help!
  17. ive had my K&N 77series since i got my SS back in 04.... it was my first mod so i was able to notice it more than you would... gave the truck a nice growl under heavy acceleration and a lttle more of a bite... i would say go for it since you have a full exhaust...then go out and get yourself a tune... as for which one to get its more of whether or not you want an open element filter (like the K&N) or if you want a closed one (like a volant)...
  18. that engine is siiiiiiiiiiick
  19. http://tanetane92.web.infoseek.co.jp/20050918scm.html check that one out..., got some silverados in there
  20. ive got those tires on my truck right now and i love them!!
  21. indeed, thanks for the tip... also to mention the truck has the 315hp 5.3 engine with the DOD... not sure how well 4 cylinders can move those big tires but i guess it gets the job done.. i might have to test drive it again before i start making decisions... also, for some reason the new trucks have disk front brakes but drum rear... anyone know why?
  22. yea im looking at the sierra not the silverado.. i agree the big chrome bumper isnt working for me.....the sierras paint is the same as the silverado at the top right..... its the two tone black with the silver stripe then a dark red.... im not the biggest fan of the paint but the rest of the truck surely does make up for it.... same paint as this http://www.scomfort.com/newsite/gmlifttruc...ce/IMG_0006.htm
  23. well like the topic says, i was driving around my area on saturday and noticed 2 lifted sierras at a gmc dealership... i pulled over with only the intent to look and of course i end up test driving it... the thing is sick, i wish i could have taken a picture... 8" lift, 35" pro comp mud terrains... the thing was insane... i have always wanted a lifted truck but i got the SSS three years ago when it was a deal i couldnt pass up... well now this sierra might be a deal i cant pass up... i had no intention to buy it, but the head of the truck department came over to me and told me that the sierra was sitting on his lot for 2 months and that he needs to move it... he told me that i could be the guy that came in at the right place at the right time, and that he'd call gm and get a good deal.. he also said that even though the numbers look expensive he would get it down to be affordable, "whatever it takes to move that thing off my lot" was his exact words...needless to say i love my SSS but im a sucker for lifted trucks, especially a new sierra with a huge lift on it.. hopefully tomorrow i can make it to the dealership and see what numbers he throws at me... check out the website.. http://www.scomfort.com/2007gmlifttrucks.html
