  1. Well, we agree on ONE thing!
  2. I know you mean the trunk lid, right? The scoop is a B&M 2-piece (top and bottom) with filter. I carried an allen wrench in the glove box and you simply unscrew the counter-sunk allen bolt, then close the trunk and re-install the scoop. To open the trunk lid, same process but you need to use the key to unlock the trunk first. I can't believe there are pics of my old car getting around, too funny. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It shouldn't surprise you, I like that Vair!!!!!! Hot looking, and DIFFERENT!
  3. who you beating? hell rams with a side of snake are by far the best tasten' trucks around. the owners have such small manhoods, all you hear is i have a viper motor :blah::blah::blah: get with yourselves ive seen a few of them run nothing more then high 14s and they were RSCB <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You gotta show all here your IMMENSE MANHOOD, and call out those snake dummies! Here, I saved you some time, there are several dead stock SRT10 owners in Pennsylvania, show them what you are made of! Here's a link..... LET 'EM HAVE IT!!!!!!! SRT10 Ram forum
  4. Nah, those are TURDS!!!!!!!!!
  5. Pretty good eh?? I have buddies all over with the same weird and twisted tastes as me, and one of them posted pics in reply to MY posting pics of your car... I hang with the weirdo type, fast and unusual, with a couple "normal" guys in the mix to break things up..... Now, I have to ask the question that I was asked.... It's the "square peg/ round hole" thing...... HOW DO YOU CLOSE THE HOOD???
  6. What? What did I do? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Crazy ass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hahaha!!!!! SOMEBODY has to do it... ;)
  7. I'm impressed by a big truck taking out a modded Mustang too! No easy feat!
  8. Hey! Take.... THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Hey........ Take THIS!!!!!!
  10. Whatchoo talkin 'bout Willis? Aren't YOU the one with a "LED 7-color underbody kit" listed in your "mods"...?
  11. Were the 9 second runs on the bottle?
  12. I took it to a Run-Watcha-Brung at the local airport, which is where the picture was taken. I made the Quick-8 there running in the 7's in the 1/8th. No one could really hook there, it was a temporary track (airport parking lot). I tried to take it to a real track, but they laughed at me and said "bring it back after you install a roll cage". I built it as a Pro Street Cruiser and had no intentions of putting a roll cage in it. It was a fun cruiser though, lots of attention. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I noticed the lack of a bar or cage, and in 2000 that was an 11.99 limit! Track legalities aside, didn't the body flex with the launch? I would think keeping windows in it or doors closing would have been a chore...? What was done to the chassis to mount the engine/suspension? Was it a 2x3 or..? Love the looks of the car- I'm not big on the "common" cars, as much as the weird ones.... ;)
  13. Hahaha That - - was down between the two paragraphs I typed first time I looked at the post, and now it's up in the TimC3 quotation box...? What's going on....?
  14. Huh??!?!?!! Why would I throw out "umpteen Dakotas that run 10's or less" I just thought a dead stock SSS and a dead stock Dakota R/T would be a good matchup. Both are low 15s with freaks going into the 14s I thought. Maybe I was wrong...?
  15. Do you still own the Vega, or the Camaro? My brother used to drive his Coronet while his girlfriend drove his 1969 Camaro, it went 11.10 at over 120mph at the track..
  16. The only vehicles in my sig, are the vehicles I've had since I joined this site. I sold my Corvair over a year ago and my Grand National over two years ago, so I don't include them in my sig. I've owned close to 40-vehicles and most of them were not your average car. I only have 5-vehicles right now. I used to average 10+vehicles at a time, Insurance & Registration are a killer though. Somehow when I saw that pic of your old truck, it made me think of my old Corvair, so I thought since this thread topic is "Racing Old School", I would post a pic of that 2200lb big block car. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sounds like me- I've had over a hundred "not average" cars easily. I've sold half a dozen of them during the last few years to finance my Coupe. I just sold my Pro Street 1968 Barracuda formula S 340 4 speed a couple months ago. To finance my TRANSMISSION! Sad, but true! I had a black Cordoba LS that went high 12s, the weird parts was MANY people thought it was a Grand National. Including TWO different Grand National owners... I got Grand National car models for Christmas present from co-workers. Odd, but true. Did you ever get a decent time for that Corvair? What track did you run it at? My daily driver from 1991 until 2000 was this Demon.... my Chickee used to go grocery shopping in it. I drove it in the snow during the winter.
  17. "What am I trying to say"? I guess I'm trying to say we have different definitions of the word "SLEEPER"...? ;) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You know I'm Kidding,............ Don't you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, considering there is no "Corvair" in your sig, I would think.... mmmmmm... maybe...?
  18. "What am I trying to say"? I guess I'm trying to say we have different definitions of the word "SLEEPER"...? ;)
  19. RTs wouldnt beat us stock vs. stock, but if you find a modded one it may be a different story <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Shows ya what I know, I would have figured it would be a toss up, a Dakota R/T or an SSS....
  20. Can't see the hood or if the front panel is concave or convex, so I guess it's hard to narrow down- 1960 to 1964 shell, the badges seem like Monza and no Spyder trim...? I'll have to guess the driveline... 468, T400 (T350 if you went for reciprocating mass) and a Ferd 9" with a 4.10 war case. Howd I do? Howd I do? -ACTUALLY, I would think a Powerglide, looking at the power/weight ratio....
  21. Haha!!!!!!!! I would have! Hard to do when we both sold our trucks though... Love the Corvair!!!!!! What year are those pics? What's your sleeper? Or is it the Corvair?
  22. Woulda loved to race you (no bottle) in my work truck, it was similar in performance, but a wee bit more disguised.... AS A DAILY DRIVEN WORK TRUCK.
  23. Careening through traffic putting OTHER INNOCENT PEOPLE'S LIVES at risk for your "entertainment" is "worth it"? Try hitting a track. Be a big boy.
  24. So some guy driving home doesn't want to race a truck he should beat easily, and "YOU BEAT HIM BY DEFAULT"? Stop watching Pinks damnit! I've driven cars that are pretty quick over the years, trucks too.I never even looked twice when every idiot that pulled up to a light beside me revved his vehicle. I just didn't care to be honest. Nothing to prove? Take it to the race track, put some numbers up, and get some perspective...?
