  7. welcome aboard one more strong for Michigan! BTW where aboots in MI are you from?
  8. - its actually... believe it or not, a form of laziness hidden behind a "joke/quirk" , instead of typing "about" and having to spend the time moving my finger one extra time... i simply press "o" one additional time... people still understand the word-s useage... as well as hopefully get a lil' chuckle out of it , and im a firm believer in laughing whenever the hell you get a chance (dont know too many people who laugh and are pissed off at the same time ) - and maybe, just maybe, i will have changed someones mood for even just a fraction of a minute... worth a shot in my mind... this all being besides the fact that im a jackass anywho... thats what thats all aboot
  9. he sure is... good luck/good idea... i believe the Volant to be very versitile... shouldnt be too hard of a task to adapt it to your hood... apparantly Det. Joe says he heard something aboot the Volant scoop to now come in a new one-piece design... let us know when you order it (whether or not it is, im curious to see how that comes out)... ANYWHO, not sure aboot IAT temps per-say, but i do know it was worth damn near two tenths of a second in the quarter mile having the lid on as opposed to having the lid off... it matters once again, good luck with that, and thank you VERY much for the compliments... i truely aprecieate it... no matter what back in black has to say , thanks man... (havnt talked with you in a while)
  10. - everyone was flipping out because i didnt provide pics... so i hurried up... hurry-ing included not using my better camera... keep tryin...
  11. it WILL be quieter than an Air Raid unit... IMO, the reason being, i didnt not notice much of a "noise" diff. other than at wide open throttle from the Volant over the stock box... however, if anyone remembers correctly, I started off with an AEM brute force unit before the Volant... and I did notice the Volant to have been more comparable to the stock box (not in performance, but as far as "noise" is concerned) any questions as to how the lid was made, materials used (for the gasket/foam as well as actual lid material) AND the decal, should be directed toward "ImpoSStor SS" - I owe all thanks to him... i just simply brainstormed the idea (both the decal and lid)... and attempted and failed several times on my own. thanks again ImpoSStor SS/Stewart revolution: your close... DAMN close, I will let this contest go till tomorrow... but you already have the jump start being that you were the first entry... (your only missing a couple pieces, and i do mean a couple)
  12. ok... ill give you guys till Grey's Anatomy ends... then ill end the contest and come clean.... $1.00 on the line... someone step up for pete's sake BTW, who is "Pete" anyway?
  13. thanks a lot guys.... honestly.... ImpoSStor....Stewart.... I hope your readin all this!

  16. ok.... and to make up for the tease... an even BIGGER TEASE!!! - ok... and a lil' contest.... the first one to correctly point out and name ALL the parts lying there on my bed... i will paypal that person $1.00 good luck!
  17. ok vultures.... here it is... and yes... its raining outside! - thanks again ImpoSStor SS....
  18. krambo... you broke the rule of stealin my thread! and Zippy... the day will come, where i have time, light, and dry pavement (and operational transmission)... i promise.... - fine... screw quality... you guys are ruthless... your gonna get a "rough cut" pic of it and thats it.... well maybe a pic or two of my up-comming tricks
  19. ok ok ok ok... i know, and before-hand i will apologize... i dont have pics YET but i PROMISE them this week, as long as i can get off work early enough to have some sort of sunlight/light... ANYWHO, way too excited to hold this back any longer.... i have ImpoSStor SS get to work for me, and i will tell you it was 100% WORTH IT!! we designed a Volant air-box lid made of Lexane clear plastic (decient thickness)... so now... since the truck is blue, the Volant filter is blue... it kinda matches (def. looks diff.) ALSO... he whipped me up a "Fuel Slut" decal to place on top of the lid (in SS silverado font/color - which goes without saying) I personally think it looks better than my flaky (peeling) stock volant lid... like i said, pics to come... hang in there
  20. nice how-to Joe , well in detail.... where did you ever get the idea of the decal in the scoop!?! i didnt know they came around to making a one piece scoop.... have you seen one yet? whats next for her eh?

  22. welcome aboard, and nice truck - i heard GM canceled/discontinued a lot of their rim department.... just ask ImpoSStor SS... he was smart enough to purchase a second set before it was too late :thinkingcap:
