  1. Anyone interested in a used Volant intake? It is off of my 05 SSS. I also have a used 160 degree thermostat and an almost new (3000 miles) Amsoil Ea Air Induction Filter for the Volant intake. PM me if you are interested. The Amsoil filter is a much better filter than the stock Volant filter. I'm looking to sell this as a package deal. everything for $210 + Shipping or Amsoil EAAU6080 I paid $66.70 - yours for $35 + Shipping Volant CAI I paid $269 - yours for $190 + Shipping SLP 160 deg. stat. I paid $20 - yours for $10 + Shipping

    Back to Stock

You guys were right. It started right up w/o hesitation. I took it for a test drive and you can really tell the difference. With the stock tune the shifts are so soft now (I had most all TQ management removed).

    Back to Stock

Yup, that is exactly what I did. I'm going to give it a try after dinner.

    Back to Stock

Well, I finally took off all my mods (intake, T-stat, PCM), so I can sell my SSS. Will I have to do the relearn process? I dumped some coolant while changing the thermostat, so I didn't have enough to start it up last night. I've heard that if the PCM has been in that vehicle before the relearn is not necessary. What else will the PCM have to relearn?
  5. What do you think an 05 w/ 29.5K in great shape will go for at the dealer vs. a private individual? The kbb for a trade in is $25k. I figure the mods are worth about $500 bucks. I know that the dealer will probably low ball the trade in value. What should I expect? That is a big determining factor as to whether I go through with this deal or not.
  6. Nope, I just couldn't justify putting that kind of money into it with 30k on the clock. Maybe I'll SC the TBSS I did call Magna Charger and they gave me a PN PN (01-12-60-007). Unless you buy a used Radix you are still looking at 5k+. I remember when you could get the Silver Intercooled Radix for under 5K.
  7. I test drove a 07 TBSS AWD a few weeks ago and have been thinking about it ever since (WOW). I was very impressed with the throttle response not to mention the sound of that LS2. I love the SSS, but I don't use it as a truck (don't tow with it or have big toys). 4 doors and covered storage is a plus. My question is should I return my SSS to stock, that is, take off my CAI, 160* stat., and put the stock PCM back in? It would take a few hours tops. I think the only thing I could use in the TBSS is the thermostat, but I could sell the rest. What do you guys think?
  8. I've played guitar for 4 years and the mandolin for 1 month. I've written/transcribed nothing yet. How about you?

    OEM Tires

Wow! I had no idea. I still have well over 5/16" tread on all of them, so I guess I'll just run em' bald.

    OEM Tires

For all of you still runinng stock wheels, how many miles were you able to get out of the OEM tires? I'm about ready to turn 29,000 on the original set. I noticed that they are slightly cupped and I wonder if this is adding to the dreaded "grawl" up front.
  11. I just got off the phone with Magna Charger and they gave me the PN 01-12-60-007. I took a look at their website and that is a kit for the 04-06 3/4 ton. Don't I need the kit for 1/2 ton? Maybe he was mistaken, but I hope I get the right one when it comes time to order.
  12. I just checked out the Magna Charger website and I don't see where they offer an Intercooled SC for the 05' SS? Is it the same as for an 03' (PN 01-12-60-002)? Anyone have a 05' SS with a Radix? I'm sure the SC kit is the same, but what about the tune (e-fans, TQ Management, etc.). Does the handheld tuner allow you run a 160 deg. stat? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  13. True, I forgot about the moderators.
  14. Doesn't the fact that this post has been "Moved" mean an Administrator has viewed this message? I PM'ed Mervz two days ago. No response yet. I'm sure they are glad to have my $24.99, though.
  15. Anyone know who I should contact to reactivate my membership. I payed back in April using paypal, but I'm not on the list of supporting members (Basic). Did I forget to do something? Thanks.
  16. There is no way I could have one (at least year round). I don't know how I could forget, but the blowing snow around here is nasty. This was last winter (back of the truck facing the wind!).Winter I may just save up for a cat back exhaust.
  17. Yeah, I thought about that. I just bought an Amsoil filter ($$$) and I don't want to shorten the life any. What else could I burn $140 bucks on? Hmm...
  18. I was wondering if anyone with a Volant intake is using the Scoop too? I drive mainly on the highway, so I think it would help out a bit. Not too sure if it is worth the extra $140. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  19. I'm love my Volant intake. I recently switched to an Amsoil EaAU Filter (seems to be a much better filter). Something about being able to see daylight through the Volant filter made me a little uneasy.
  20. No problem. The guys over at RCGroups.com are very helpfull.
  21. Well I guess it depends on how much RC experience you have and how much you are willing to spend. I've had RC toys since I was a kid, but only recently stepped up to the $$$ models. Are you sold on a "gas" powered model? Anymore the electric models have as much power and performance and they are much cleaner to run. Then again, if you have the room to run one there is nothing quite like a 1/5 scale gas car or truck. I've only run my Baja (see photo) twice as this winter has been a Bi$%H. RC helis are not the best choice for a beginning pilot. Especially a "Nitro" powered model. For a great beginner heli check out the Blade CX2. I bought one last month and I've had a blast with it. Its and indoor model, but it may be flown outdoors on a calm day. I don't know much about RC planes, but they are easier to fly than an RC heli. Check out Ready-To-Fly Planes. Hope this helps out. 22. I assume you are getting a SS supercharged and not the SS with the 2.4L. My Si is fairly quick, but I think the SS supercharged is about .7 sec quicker 0-60 (C&D). I think they are pretty close in the handling department. I love my Si. It has a LDS, 6 spd, and a 8100 rpm red-line so its super fun in the twisties. P.S. I'll see what I can do about getting some pix of dead stuff.
  23. Yup I intend to, but I'll mainly be shooting PDs and Rabbits. Hey I checked out those videos in your sig. Is that you? Classic! I love the Honda part as I'm an ower of a new 06 Si.
