  1. Well, the body shop said they did a bubble test to see if there was air in the lines and it came back as no air in the lines. Here is the other thing, according to the dealer, they tore the axle apart and did all this work and it took them 2 days to find the problem. When the body shop put the truck in the air to see if there was any underbody damage there was no sign of the axle being removed what so ever. So if i was lied to and charged all this money to get the axle fixed and all they did was grease it up it leads me to believe that they lied about other things and possibly messed with the brake system thinking the problem was with that rather than the axle. I dont know..... Its a confusing one......!!!!!
  2. So heres the situation. I took the truck to the dealer to have some axle work done. Appearantly all they did was lube the axle. Thats it according to them. Well, a few days after getting it back I went to apply the brakes and nothing happened. Also I noticed that the E Brake didnt hold the truck like it did before I brought it in. So needless to say I crashed her. Nothing to bad but some definite body damage. $10,000 to be exact. So I guess thats bad enough. My question is do I even have a case here??? The body shop said they didnt notice anything wrong with the rear axle or brakes but suggested that I get a second opinion. The Ins. company suggested the same as well. I dont want millions of dollars or anything just them to pay for the repairs and claim fault......Thanks guys.....
  3. I have always wanted a Toyota Supra. I finally found a guy who is selling the body only. Gutted out. No tranny, engine, tires, seats, etc. Supras in good condition go for around 20,000 and up. Hes selling the body for 1,500. Is it worth it to buy and make it my project car??? This would be my first time doing this. Just dont want to get in over my head on this one. Thanks guys!!!
  4. I got a chrome one if you still need it??
  5. I have the GM soft cover and there is a rubber seal that rubs on the top of my tailgate. I just layed on a strip of 3M transparent film across the top as you said. - can't even tell it's there and does a nice job of protecting the finish. Was the 3M paint protector difficult to lay down. It seemed like you apply it like you would window tint??? True?? Here is what I used:Link It is actually for protecting bicycle frames from scratches but the dimensions are perfect for the top of the tailgate. There is enough for several re-dos if you screw it up, but it is not hard to apply at all. Just be sure to keep it plenty moist and squeegie out all the air bubbles by working your way toward the edges. With a little effort it won't even be noticable. This is the 3M stuff right??? You used it for the tailgate....should I get two for the tailgate and the sides of the bed??? Just wanna know how much comes in that roll. Thanks
  6. Ya, mine is on perfect. Not sure why they rub on the sides.........

  8. Ive had my lid for a while now and have noticed that the lid rubs against the bed and tailgate on the outside. Its starting to look bad now and Im not sure what to do to keep it from rubbing against the paint. Do any of you guys have the same problem??? I was told to try a strip of that 3M paint protector but Im not sure thats the best way to go.....Any Suggestions......Thanks.....
  9. Not a fan of the plate being in the tailgate, especially on a truck like an SS. To ricey!!! The exhaust sounds good. Might cost a little though...
  10. This kinda hit home as I was deployed and now Im back for a second tour.... And if you go to the website now, its down.... Link
  11. They basically redesigned the bike for 07. But the 06 is still a great bike. Its just that the 07 is the new bike out and they can ask that much for it. Know what i mean....
  12. I have a chance to get a left over 06 GSXR 1000 from a dealer for 9500 OTD. But wondering if you guys think its worth it to pay the extra for an 07. I know its a different bike this year but is it worth the extra 3-4000. Opinions.....
  13. I have 23,000 miles on my truck now and have yet to replace the tranny or rear axle fluids. I know the axle should have been done already but I never got around to it. Im deployed right now and I was going to have my girlfriend take it in but I dont want the dealer to screw up anythiing. So my question is would it be okay for me to wait until I get back and do it myself or should I have her take it in? If she does take it in what should she tell the dealer to do?? i.e. Tranny flush/filter change and rear axle fluid change? Is that it?? Thanks guys....
  14. Just wondering if anyone here kiteboards, land/water/snow?? Going to start getting into it and wanted some pointers....Thanks
  15. From what I've been reading alot of the problems seem to be coming from the 03-04's. Would it be safe to say that they fixed the problems from 2005 on. I have a slight whinning noise in mine but only on the turns. Am I safe or will it get worse as time goes on. Mines an 05 with 22,000 on it. Dont wanna jinx myself but maybe I have the problems all of you guys speak of but Im ignoring it in my mind cuz of the hassle of the dealership.
