  3. Vortec High Output Special performance edition silverado. Basically an SS in 2wd form but with no body cladding and chrome bumpers.. I am running dart heads a comp cam and in a few weeks a D1sc procharger 10 psi intercooled.. making a while lot more than just high output. if my site wasn't down right now I would post pics but if you look at Jonmalibuss' truck its basically the same thing only mine is red and grey and pretty far from stock.

  5. I will be passing though texas later this month and at some point next month too I am moving from IL to Las vegas so I am taking out my VHO and my black blown s10 later on.. I can probobly meet up with you when I am down there to do a face to face if you would like. If my site was up...( it's down for a revamp) you would see that I am supported by Zippy's tuning and he has schooled me pretty well with tuning so far.

Thats really intresting both Jon and Jason.. if you guys have further info on either one of your warranties you should maybe share this with the forum or anywhere else you want to get it out there. That sounds like a really great set of options. I am sure alot of guys would be intrested in something like that!
  8. It all comes back to the nut behind the wheel pun fully intended. I can out drive alot of guys in their own cars with a stick only because when I was brought up drag racing my dad taught me how to run the tree with a rock crusher in a 64 malibu. But.. you get someone that doesn't really know how to launch or get the truck though the gears hard and fast.. you got yourself a good way to miss the window. Either way.. you beat him a win is a win. So congrats on that. But you gotta talk him into a pulley swap and some driving lessons.. that truck should hose you even with a semi decent stick man.

I actually got the extended though dahlmer chrysler becuase Gage where I got the truck has a dodge right next to them that does the actual warranty.. gm techs still work on it to 72,000 and its a really comprehensive coverage. Gm' gets a bit sketchy past 36,000 on older warranties but.. with their new approach things might be changing its hard to say without actually being there myself yet
  10. Just about every yahoo is sending out extended warranty offers.. don't touch anything unless it comes from GMAC or GM directly. They are mostly scam operations

  12. I run tunercat what they bought from the original.. basically TC sold out for a big profit but he still supports early adopters. I will never buy that peice of crap that jet is selling. They are trying to compete with hp tuners with an inferior product. They contacted me to see if I would be intrested to trade in my tuner package for their system to help get the name out there. I said no thank you after they told me the specifics. Tunercat's original interface is 100 times more reliable than the one jet is selling for a 10th of the price. What I have invested in tunercat vs what Jet wants for their software its unreal the markup. They put zero R and D into it they did some graphical changes and added a crude data logger and threw it out on the market. Then basically made it so no one can go buy tunercat anymore.. again unless you allready own TC you are now out of luck. I would defintely not recomend purchasing the jet software. I run both HPT and TC and Tc is a great program value vs price. HPT is a head and shoulders above TC but more costly. And they dont support 98 and down. But defintely good call by throwing up a thread here asking about it I didn't want to start one myself because then im outright bashing them.
  13. I know Doug from DDyno power We tried putting my VHO just to do a rwd pull.. our trucks won't fit on his setup too long.. maybe a short bed short cab but no ex cabs.
  14. Only the inside mounting you have to mod alittle of the brackets inside it fits fine on the outside.. its a double din and so is the factory head
  15. No o2 sim's you are keeping cats.. just high flow ones.. when I get out there in a few weeks I will tweak that tune for you and it should fix everything right up
  16. You can actually disable traction control with most of the editing software. I didn't only simply because when it does rain or snow its nice to have some kind of shock absorber.. That and anything more than a tap of the gas and mine go up in smoke.... still can't figure out why
  17. You are fairly new to this site I would recomend going over to LS1 tech or Performancetrucks.net those sites both have thunder as a supporting vendor and I belive you can find some writeups there on the questions you are asking.
  18. Myself or zippy can cut you a tune with HP tuners and drop you an email with the file for 150 thats the ss price for a tune I just need the stock flash emailed over to me or zip. [email protected] My site is down right now thats why nothing is working my website host bellied up and I lost my server so im kina running on 3 cylnders right now

  20. Got an alpine for sale that is 10 weeks old that is a double din setup the navi is available for it check the for sale forum.. I can prolly include the pac harness too
