  1. Hey guys figured I would try and see if anyone knew anyone intrested or was intrested in my Tahoe. It's a 99 Police spec. Fomer Penn State highway patrol truck so they are all highway miles. I have done nothing but highway since I bought it since I used to work about 60 miles from home. It currently has 125k on it and has been well maintained has new front suspension/balljoints tie rods ect. Brakes all the way around are brand new as of last month. Also Cat delete pipes stock cat back it has a nice growl to it nothing obnoxious. Tuned by Zippy. Tires have about 5k on 'em wider than stock same height. I dropped it more than stock. It had the stock 2/3 drop being a 2wd. police but I lowered it another 2/2 with spindles and hangers(belltech) the truck handles and rides fantastic at highway speeds with the 3.23 rear end this thing is great at high speeds. Also removed the spotlight and a few other things to kina make it a little less leaky and creaky. The truck is very dependable all the windows are blacked out and the ac blows ice cold it also has rear ac. The interior isn't perfect because it was a police truck but I understand that when I say or best offer. Asking 7k obo Any questions or if anyone knows anyone looking for a good dependable truck drop me an email or Pm [email protected]
  2. Hey guys over in the for sale thread I threw a P1sc kit over there the details are there its a good price for someone who wants to get in at a cheaper level and start making some power. Defintely will support the kit with tuning and whatever else is needed but I just wanted to throw a post up over here for anyone that might be lookin.
  3. Yeah bumblebee.. originally in the cartoon he was a vw bug.. now hes a yellow camaro with black stripes.. rediculus..
  4. I will also throw in a set of autometer phantom gauges brand new with this boost and fuel pressure ttt
  5. Hey guys. I am cleaning house before I move. I have the makings of a P1sc procharger kit. The 2 core intercooler setup the blower was just freshened and checked by procharger still in the box. The brackets and plumbing with the kit will be brand new.. from procharger The intercooler is the only thing that shows any age simply because its aluminum. Basically its a fairly new kit but because the blower and the intercooler have been used before I have to sell it as a used kit. I can provide injectors and Zippy can provide tuning. Or if need be I can order up that though procharger as well. Simply need to know if someone is intrested. I can let the whole thing go with no tuning no injectors and no fuel system.. blower plumbing and interooler for 3800 shipped anywhere in the lower 48 Best offers defintely will be entertained If anyone is intrested please let me know I will work with you on this setup it's my parts not anything from my buisness. Thanks. Frank [email protected]
  6. Nelson's kit does look good but I think the Kit parish had before let him build boost on the line too.. My blazer build's it off idle without the brakes.. so.. it's not unheard of. But what this guy hasn't said is he is in canada and has to have it installed by a a shop.. I don't think the turbo is the right idea for him. He has no access to PCM tuning up there either.
  7. Dollar for Dollar PI makes a good converter but I agree with Krambo as far as tightness. I have run 3 seprate PI's in diffrent vehicles. I have the Yank in the VHO now it is a good converter and does what it's advertised to do. PI makes good on all their caims as well I am within about 100 rpm of the stall I had it built to under boost.
  8. As far as tranmission upgrades go.. No one is safe with any mod that raises your performance. Yeah there are guys with 4-5 psi of boost with a radix who have 100k on them I don't doubt that but with the response directed at chase.. Yeah I broke alot of parts too. And Currently to date my broken parts list.. was not caused by a blower. It was Raw power from a Naturally asperated engine. No matter what kit you buy it is a good and wise investment to spend time getting some trans upgrades done before you end up wasting money down the road fixing it. It is cheap insurance to spend even 2k at a trans shop having them put in upgrades to support your blower no matter who makes it. If you are spending 4-5k on any kind of performance mod why half ass it and not spend the money to get the trans work done. You will be happier and safer across the line with that. As for the new guy.. You need to listen closely to the guys who are giving you feedback because if you don't know everything about your truck's current performance it is really easy to get yourself in hot water fast by buying stuff from people not knowing what you have. By this I mean the transmission.. 4l80 parts are not at all compatable with a 4l70 and neither is the tuning.
  9. Don't do it!!! well if you do let me know how much you want for your s10
  10. Yup I ran a whipple on a 95 sonoma they made a setup for the throttle body engine. I also have owned 2 diffrent powerdynes 3 vortech's and 2 magnachargers 1 intercooled and one not. And about 16 diffrent prochargers to date. And enough nitrous in my lifetime to keep the better part of chicago giggling for about a month
  11. For all the Cali guys.. Keep an open window in september. I am going to figure something out for Vegas. Since I am moving out there hopefully by then I will have everything all done by then and I can get some more support out in vegas and I will fly zippy out for the event. But if I can get something setup in vegas to have a Cruise of the strip one day and we get the track one night.. I just have to get out there and hit the phones I am headed out in a few weeks to take out the VHO and leave her there and then come back for my blown s10. As for Zippy 3 we gotta get more guys that want to actually wake up and dyno!
  12. No intercoler lots of detonation and horrid on the highway because of the heat soak. They were really pretty popular in the early 90s becuase you can pretty much make that style blower adapt to anything. And nothing is maintence free.. By the time you get that kit in your truck you are going to be close to the cost of a radix and over the cost of a procharger kit with a p1sc.
  13. I think putting the cash in the camino is a great idea. But.. I would not buy a crate engine for a car like that. I would go to one of the machine shops and have em build me a nice stout 400 small block. For the money you are throwing at that crate engine I could get a nice 400 built around here with iron heads and a good 400 tranny with a stall. I mean I have been in the scene here and building muscle cars for the last 14 years of my life so I have connections to get that stuff.. but to me.. there is something to be said about a badass 406 or something with a nasty cam that you can hear from 400 feet away that sounds pissed off. Crate motors to me belong in newer cars.. thats just my .02 I look forward to updates as you get the camino done. I have owned 4 of them I still have a soft spot for the trucklets
  14. Since when are you a buisness number one.. and secondly where are you getting them without the tuner. NO Tuner NO WARRANTY bottom line
  15. From past experience cause I actually know these guys.. good luck on a GP price.. I know guys who have 10k tied up in their software and dont get any discounts. As for the guys who think they shouldnt pay full price.. go to ebay or buy it used. When you use HPT to its full potential.. it is worth every penny.
  16. I will have numbers on tuesday. It's kina funny you guys all want the vortech because a couple guys have gone fast with it.. Just wait about 3-4 weeks when I put down dyno numbers with a procharger I think alot of people are going to sing a diffrent song.
  17. Hah.. well hopefully you can figure out the right path. I think you are going to be really shocked when you see what a procharger does with some good tuning.
  18. I can probobly get you one I mainly sell the procharger centrifugals but I am sure I can find out.
  19. Biggest diffrence is the fuel manifold. In 06 you are returnless and in 03 it is a return style. The hand held programmer will not work properly thats kindof a given.. besides that there are really not that many diffrences. And Chase we do know where the real power is.. and you will see it this spring in so cal when I come lookin for you haha
  20. My question to you is what is your ultimate goal.. just about any head out there that adds good power pushes the compression up. I am running the Dart 225 heads and N/A I will throw my truck up against most radix trucks. And I have alot less involved on horsepower than on boost at this time.. The other thing I think that needs to be pointed out if you are talking bang for your buck are you planning on going to the 122 setup later? Because quite honestly everyone here knows the 112 is limted with the lq9 the guys that we have here on ss.com have pretty much pushed the 112 as fast as they can go krambo, holty ect.. I think if you really plan to go fast you might want to save up for that 122 before you do heads.. just my .02
  21. with the crossover pipe no cats.. for a 6.0 make me an offer.
  22. I can't go into detail about the inner workings of the dealers. What you have to understand is each dealer is independently owned and operated under a corprate name. It is their discression to either work or not work on your vehicle no matter what it is. There is a contractual obligation for them to provide warranty service and if they do not it is again their responsibilty to tell you why they choose not to. No single dealer can void your warranty that actually has to go though GM corprate. That can not be done by a single entity. I have dealt with GM extensively in this manner beucase in 1999 GM had to do a buy back on a montecarlo z34 I had with electircal issues. I took the vehicle in 32 times in 5 months GM put 6500 miles on it trying to " Duplicate" the problems then when I wired the fuel pump to a switch so I would not get stranded they tried to void the warranty. It doesn't work the way alot of people think. Further more in response to the PCM issue. The tech 2 can read the computer diagnoiscs and download the exsisting PCM programming it can reload new programming that is downloaded from a mainframe computer. It can not however read the binaries that actually control shift points rpm cuts ect.. The only way that can be read is with either an aftermarket editing program or by other GM computers that 9 out of 10 dealer technicians do either not use or have no access to. The only way they will know about a shift kit or a tb stall is if you tell them. If a tech suspects something then they have to ask you why and what.. they don't just pull your trans without asking to find out. Alot of misconceptions about dealers are becuase alot of people " heard" from one guy or another what the big bad dealer did. Remember the most important part. You purchased the vehicle from them. From the corp. They are at your service becuase you are their customer. That doesn't mean they can push you around. And that doesn't mean you owe them anything either. Keep that in mind no matter what car company you go to.
