  1. Looks alot like the outgoing model... I read it would be a mostly a "cosmetic refresh" and not a new design (I was hopeful). Not a huge fan of the current bodystyle and still not based on the spy shots of the test mules.

I hate, HATE the large gap bewteen the rear tires and wheel arch and it looks like it grew another foot and a half since the last model for some reason. It looks more and more like Bigfoot with street tires. I say keep the black tarps on those things and wake me up when there's a new Silverado SS... I've never been happier with my 2003 SS Silvy.

  2. wow sorry to hear that chase that really sucks. ive dealt with chris personally and i have nothing but good things to say. im really interested in hearing his reply

I have also met & delt with Chris personnally on several occasions when he lived close by. He is a genuine guy and a personal friend. I hope everything gets resolved to everyones satisfaction.

  3. Hey All ...

So it's finally a slow night at work ... We are sitting here watching the new "American" version of Top Gear on the History Channel. I personally, am not overly impressed. I know I'm only 30 minutes into the first episode, but is it me, or is it just missing something?

I know I truly love the original BBC show, and I am comparing it to that standard ... but something is truly lacking on this show ...

    Any thoughts ... ???

:withstupid: The BBC version (original) is much better by far (and much more funny). I hate that fat guy... who is he anyway?

The only cast memeber that seems tho know anything is Tanner Foust. He can sure drive the piss out of a Dodge Viper.

The one good thing about the US version is that old Britsh guy isn't there to make fun of American vehicles anymore...

Here is a link to one of my favorite moments from the original Top Gear. Nothing this funny will ever come from the American version, I promise.

  4. I'd give District 9 a D+. The story had too many holes in my opinion. It was also somewhat anti-climactic at the end.

I thought the speacial effects, computer animation was top notch on the other hand.

For those of you who hated the movie Cloverfield, you will not like this film.

  5. That thing looks like crap. If your going to put the money into it go with either OE or the sprayed99/Mr. P kit.

:withstupid: It looks like something MacGyver rigged up with a gun to his head. I would invest in the actual GM e-fan parts or get a kit from Mr. P / Srayed99.

You will also need to retune your PCM to get the fans to run, but I'm sure you already knew that.

  6. So is this part of the Stimulus Package?? Put tighter restrictions on a industry that is suffering big time already. Then the cost of their product is forced to increase at a time when sales are at an all time low. If the auto industry does pull through this and people do buy these fuel efficient cars and it does lower the United States use of oil, the government will reward us with an increase of the gas tax.

    Can't wait!

    My sentiments exactly.

History does reapeat itself on occasion. I think this will be much the same transition cars went through in the 60's on into the 70's due to the previous oil crisis.

The difference of course being cars of the sixties (cool-muscle car era), cars of the 70's (suck a$$ $hit)

I'm all for more economical cars and what not, but this will be at the cost of the automakers and taxpayers at a critical time.

I bet we will see the quality and dependability of our country's cars suffer (just like the 70's) with automakers at the present state coupled with changing technologies.

I hope GM and all the other domestic manufacturers will see it through to better ecomonical times. :flag:

  7. Here is my sub box i installed this morning! It is not hooked up yet & we will be working on amp placement which will not be said, until it is done! As for the box it has 2 Kicker 10's & the center has SIlverado SS etched in the glass with led's so it will light up just the outline! Raised the seat with some 1.5"x2" tubing which in turn lets the upper part of the back seat fold down with no modifications to the seat itself. The top of the box is covered in black suede to match my headliner & A pillars! Enjoy!

This is EXACTLY what I want under my seat! What do I have to do to get one made?

I wish I had the materials / know-how to make one myself.

Very very nice Cory. I hate you :jester:

  8. would it be bad if I didnt get it tuned for awhile???

    Yeap...

Probably won't shift right if you do that (shift too hard or not at all). I beleive the line pressure settings have to be tuned back to stock.

I'm sure one of the tuner gurus will chime in and back me up on this!

  9. Photos From the Event:

A BIG thanks to Pete from Iowa Muffler & Rich (SSPOSSE) for organizing the event. A good time was had by all.

I'm sure these will be the first of many photos.
