  1. Hope I can make it. The track is only 10 miles from my house! -CL
  2. Well I thought I would put my new Powerslot rotors and Hawk pads and braided lines on this morning and everything was going fine until I hit the front passenger side caliper relocation bracket. The bolt will not go in the bracket deep enough. The closer I got to getting the bolt ran down the more it was binding up. I treid tapping it with my rubber hammer and still will not go in. The brackets are not marked left or right and all the bolts are the same size. I think it is more of a machining error, since the front driver side went on smooth. Now another day to sit and wait for parts since the big brake kit was on backorder from Summit Racing and recieved it and now this. Now it will be Powerslots turn to hold me back. Anyone else ever have this problem with the bracket? -CL
  3. Here's what I got HWK-HB324F-673 HWK-HB385F-640 are these right or not? There are to many numbers that come up when I searched. Thanks -CL
  4. Well I got my Powerslot rotors for the rear and the hub part is the silver/gray color. Should I paint that part flat black or leave it be? I think it would look better if it were black since the wheel is gray. The front plus ones should be here Monday. I also got the Russel braided brake lines and Hawk pads. Thanks -CL
  5. I took it aprat and where the two "arms" pivot on it was a little corrided/rusted. I sprayed with some G96 gun lube "protects against rust under all weather conditions even salt water spray" worked it in then blew that out with air and sprayed some more in there. Put it all back together and it works like new. Thanks -CL
  6. Well the tailgate is not working properly. You know how you close your tailgate, lightly and it will stay shut. Mine you have to attempt to close it like 5-10 times before it will latch shut. The strikes look ok. The springs work ok. I have pushed the handle down while trying to close, that didnt work. I have no clue what is going on. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks -CL
  7. Has any one had any experience with these products? I was looking at the yellowstuff pads and the 3GD sport slotted rotors. I seen the ad in my Truckin" magazine and I need pads and rotors since mine are warped. Thanks -CL
  8. When I raised my seat with the 2" tubing I didn't have to extend the tabs. The seat will fold down, when you pick up the front of the seat, and pull the back down. -CL
  9. I have set and I really like 'em. They do well in the rain and snow. I had them sqwauling at the drag strip doing a slolom action at 60mph tryin to dry the track off. I got a 295/50/20 Just a little wider than stock and .2" shorter. -CL
  10. Well I took out the battery to get my other truck started. Put it back in and now it wont idle right. It will die when I came to a stop and idle at like around 450-500 rpm and will flucuate. But it will drive down the highway fine, took a 20 min drive. Does the PCM need to "relearn" its parameters? Superchip tune and no codes have been thrown. It is to the point that I can't eat I am that worried about it. TIA -CL
  11. Started out fine and was going up the hill, the speedo started climbing and I was doing 75 mph. Came to the stop light and was doing 28. Is it broken? Is there a cable to check or is it electronic, or is this a kind of thing to take to the dealer and get rape? -CL
  12. Yeah I seen ot too last night. "I was happier than a tornado in a trailer park" (Qoute from Tow Mater (Larry the Cable Guy)) -CL
  13. Is Top Gear still on? I have it set up to Tivo and It doesnt come up when I do a search for it. It used to be on and I've have recorded them before. -CL
  14. Well on my project truck(84 short bed) I took out the 700r4 tranny to switch out to a TH400. The 400 was from a '78 chevy long bed with the carrier bearing and has u-joints at both ends of the drive shaft. The 700r4 had the drive shaft slip into the tail shaft. So the question is what do i need to do the th400 to get the slip in drive shaft? Change the tail shafts? TIA -CL
