  1. Haven't posted on here in a while so figured I'd make the announcement. As much as I love the truck, using it to travel for work just keeps tacking up the milage and I'm at 95K+ now, so tomorrow I'll be driving it for the last time to pick up a loaded out, black 07 TBSS with 29K on it before I break the 100K mark on the SSS and get no trade in value for it. The TBSS is immaculate and doesn't even show any of the clear coat issues on the wheels that they have been known for. I'll still be around checking stuff out from time to time, but I'd imagine more on our sister site.
  2. Damn man, I like yours better too. What all have you done to it?
  3. Been hearing that Creed may be reuniting. !. METALLICA 2. LYNYRD SKYNYRD (RIP Billy Powell) 3. SLAYER 4. ...and let's not forget PAN-F%&*ing-TERA!!
  4. 03 black SSS 02 burgandy Hoe (the ex stuck me with) 03 black HD Dyna Wide Glide
  5. On a non-SSS/ next best thing note, You can now get the 6.2l in a1/2 ton crew cab with 403 hp. But I'm sure most everyone here's already heard that.
  6. I agree that it's not a 2nd gen. The pre-99's were Cheyannes or Silverados depending on the package option. Chevrolet also made a sport truck version of the 454 SS. It was all the same stuff, but with either a 210 hp 350 or even a V6. It came with the 275's and had the SS wheels and suspension, buckets w/ console and no SS logos. Ironically it was also offered in 4WD.
  7. I know what you mean. I was in the Seattle -Tacoma area for most of 07 & 08 and saw more SSS's there than anywhere I'd ever been, but I don't think there are more than 6-8 members from that area on the site. I saw one guy in Bremerton last year and talked to him at a red light. He said he trolls the site from time to time, but doesn't care enough to join. Was the camper shell on the silver one you saw a canvas retractable? I saw one of those in Silverdale that had senior couple in it. I guess some people have the money, but don't really care what the signifigance of what they drive is to others. Hell, my 92 yo grand father drives a Lincoln Blackwood. He doesn't care about what it is other than it's a Ford and has all the nice creature comforts.
  8. As I recall Randy had Brock against the fence for a while and also defended from his back and got up from being taken down by Brock. Lesner didn't quite run thru Randy like you make it sound. Until Rob posted that video, I din't realize it was an illegal shot. Before you gloat to much, just remember it wasn't his size that beat Randy. If that's all it was it wouldn't have gone past the first round. Lesner is much improved his game and by all accts, has trained pretty much in boxing and ju juitsu for the last 2 yrs, so his game is becoming much more well rounded. He still has to face Nogueira (my pick tol beat Mir), who is a very seasoned fighter, and let's not even begin to imagine the outcome of Brock vs Fedor. He's definately a force to be reckoned with. Did he deserve a title shot so soon? I don't think so, but opinions vary. Kimbo vs Brock...no contest...unless he gets in a quick knockout, Kimbo gets pummeled. I say bring back Bas to face Lesner.
  9. I'm gonna have to go with Randy. This ain't his first rodeo, and he is Captain America. He sticks to his game plan & doesn't get frustrated. If he can weather the early storm in the first round or two, his stamina & experience will win out. I'd like to see him end the fight, but if it's by decision, a win's a win.
  10. I'm sure they will. They're leaving in March or April to tour Europe until mid summer then should come back to tour the east coast. I can't wait till Seattle!
  11. Went to the Portland show last night, on the floor. It was AWESOME!!! Couldn't hear much of the vocals for The Sword (30 mins). Down sounded good (45 mins), Phil was working the crowd into a frenzy just as he's always done and Metallica was great. Just over 2 hours of hard driving, ass kicking music. Going to see them in Seattle Dec 1st as well. If you have the chance to go, do it!!!!
  12. FYI...like the Aerosmith GH, there will be a Metallica GH that's suppose to be released in the spring with their entire catolog on it.
  13. http://mmajunkie.com/news/13057/the-end-ar...for-elitexc.mma I reckon Kimbo will have to face some real competition now, not has beens and nobodys. I wish the UFC would start a women class.
  14. It looks like the 1985 lowered mini truck paint made a wrong turn on to what used to be a nice truck. F that kid & his "more money than sense" parents.
  15. Check out this link to MMAweekly.com. It's an article quoting Seth Petruzelli saying on a radio show Monday that he was paid a bonus to stay on his feet and not take Kimbo to the ground. There was a story on the web Sunday stateing that EliteXC first went to announcer Frank Shamrock to see if he would fight Kimbo after Ken was out. Frank agreed and even went as far a getting the physical and was ok'd by the FSAC, but then EliteXC backed out and neither them nor CBS wanted Frank to fight him as Kimbo would most likely be submitted in the first round. Several times the manner in which EliteXC is run has been compared to the WWE for its match making. I say they are looking for former big names and current nobodys that they think Kimbo should be able to steamroll over. Lets see them get some free agents like Kimo or Don Frye in there if they want him to fight some "has beens". Kimbo isn't near the fighter that his own trainer is. Bas Rutten is awesome and would kill Kimbo and most other current fighters. JMO. Kimbo is way over rated and doesn't deserve all the hype he gets. The one thing I do like about Kimbo personally is that he is very respectful of the sport and other fighters. By the way there's also an article saying that Big John McCarthy may be making a return to ref'ing. http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/templa...4&zoneid=13
