  1. not saying it wont work in the cross over , for higher boost levels it works great because more flow is needed to spool the turbo , it comes a problem when lower boost levels are desired and cant let enough air bypass the turbo to minimze spooling.

it does work great and for the price , its very hard to beat. imo it would work great if it had the wg in the location art posted. imo

id like to see a side by side comparison with two turbo kits on the same vehicle/motor

one with kb's setup with the wg in the cross over and anoter with either manifolds or tubular headers with equal flow. i bet there isnt a huge difference but i will bet controlling boost at lower levels will be more difficult with the crossover mounted wg.

either way im really not knocking your kit as it has proven itself to be able to make power and run good ,however that was not the point.

It's cool Chase. :) I'm just sayin, I've had setups running from 5-20+ psi on 4.8's to 408's and with the proper sized WG in the Xover it has maintained boost just fine. ;) Besides, who puts a turbo on to run low boosts??? :D

The only time I've ever had a problem with a WG in the Xover not controlling boost well is when I had the compound setup with a BW S475 turbo feeding a TVS1900 blower. The back pressure was so low that it wouldn't keep the boost under control even with a 50mm gate in the Xover. Moved it to just before the turbo like your suggesting STILL wouldn't control the boost (20 psi when I finally lifted on a 5psi spring, lol) had to add a second 38mm gate in the crossover along with the 50mm under the turbo to finally get enough flow through BOTH gates to keep the boost around 13psi. When I took the blower off and switch from the S475 with 1.32 a/r 96mm turbine to a S480 with a 1.10 a/r 83mm turbine, I had enough back presser to control the boost to 8-9 psi with JUST a 38mm gate in the Xover. I've been playing this game for a while, lol. ;)

  2. Thanks for the kind words guys. :)

As far as the WG location, it's a PROVEN design. Perfect, no... Works good, yes. Cause any problems??, Nope! Stock48 has run mid 9's at 143mph (4800lb truck, that's about 1100rwhp) with my kit, a PT88 turbo on a 370 and only a 38mm Tial WG IN THE CROSSOVER. There is not a difference in back pressure from one bank to the other because the turbo is the restriction, setting the back pressure for the WHOLE pre-turbo piping. It doesn't mater where the WG is, it's job is regulating the back pressure (drive pressure) not flow pre-turbo to maintain boost level. There is no "check valve" so to speak that would not allow pressure to equalize back to the WG. NO ONE I know of has had any issues controlling boost with the proper sizes WG in the crossover or shown any difference in performance or engine longevity with it located anywhere else. I've built a ton of these kits and no problems. I would put money on if you put a pressure tap on the drives front manifold and the pass front manifold, at full boost there is less then a pound difference in back pressure pre-turbo. If you feel differently, then please show me proof that's it's not good and not just say you don't like it just because... :) To many fast trucks working with this type set up for it to be a bad idea. ;)

  3. I'm going back turbo and selling my blowers setup. I'm selling EVERYTHING that is needed to instail this. All the little stuff I had to buy to put it on my truck.

Its a Kenne Bell 2.8h big bore intercooled supercharger. Approx 25k miles. No know issues, just got back from a 3k mile road trip in 5 days had no issues with any part of it. Here's what you get...

2.8h liter (1 bar, high boost design case) Compressor

Heat exchanger and all hoses, pump, Killer Chiller Water tank (uses trucks AC to cool the intercooler water to lower IAT's)

8 rib drive setup with IW 8" over drive crank pulley, 8 rib PS, Alt, and Magnuson HD tensioner.

    8 rib 3.25", 3.65" pulley's and 3.75" 4" 6 rib pulleys (the 3.65" pulley makes 15psi on my 5.7 LS1)

All the fuel lines and fuel regulator for return fuel system with connections to just plug right into stock fuel lines.

    60lbs/hr injectors and fuel rails.

Edelbrock 90mm throttle body and 4" air tube and filter for it.

    Pace Setter headers.

There is probable some little stuff I am for getting about but you'll get everything I take off the truck.

I'm selling this as a COMPLETE kit and not wanting to part anything out unless someone just wants to buy the blower and then I'll sell the other stuff.

    $4995.95 for the COMPLETE Kit

$3995.95 for just the blower and 6 rib drive

Also has provisions for meth both below the blower at the discharge and into the mouth of the blower

Also replaced the IAT with one that protrudes out into the tub
