  1. Sucks for me. They sent me Hawks HB303 brake pads in a HB385 Box. What a bunch of jerks. They must have known they were going out of business when they put the wrong brake pads in the righ box and sent them to me. A-holes. Now I'm out $80 and can't return these.
  2. I lived in St. Louis for a couple of years. If you have time check out the Arch. Also, not BBQ but still a good time is Bluberry Hill in University City. I think Chuck Berry plays there on either Wednesday or Thursday night...can't remember. Blueberry Hill is loacated off of Delmar. If you get hammered make sure to stop by the Courtesy Diner and get "The Slinger". It's the best pre hangover cure. Bandanna's has good BBQ, and there are a few around the area. I've got a lot more suggestions, but it really depends on what you're into and how much time you've got.
  3. Though, I'm sure you have a great idea, you have to ask yourself whether or not going through the patent process is worth it or not. It is extremely expensive to get a patent on your own (without the backing of a company), and patents are rarely granted if you write them yourself. For most small businesses it is better to keep the design proprietary and save the money in patenting the design. If you do patent your idea and someone infringes on your patent, do you have the resources for litigation? These are a few questions you need to ask yourself. Most often it is more beneficial for small business to keep the design private than trying to patent it. Also, the patent process takes a while, 1-2 years. Before going to a patent attorney you might want to consider talking with a patent agent. A patent agent still has to take the patent bar, but doesn't have to go to law school (In order to be a patent agent you have to have an Engineering degree or equivalent). Basically you will pay $50 less an hour when working with a patent agent and they can do almost anything a patent attorney can except argue your case in front of a judge. For information in finding a patent agent/attorney go to www.uspto.gov
  4. The place to be is in Plano at BoneDaddy's. KICK ASS BBQ, and the hottest chicks in Dallas, I shit you not! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bone Daddy's is Tits. I used to like Scoots, but the ladies no longer wear bikini tops and there is also no longer "School Girl Wednesday" Here's the link for Twin Peaks http://www.twinpeaksrestaurant.com/
  5. I probably won't make it, but you should check out Twin Peaks Restraunt. I like it better than Hooters and the outfits the ladies wear are much nicer. They have short shorts (not those ugly orange things) and wear plaid shirts that are tied just below the boobies. Last time I went the beer was watered down, but the view was worth it. It's also in Lewisville by Vista Ridge Mall.
  6. Check out this mini V8 weighing in at 25 lbs. http://www.weberprecision.com/
  7. Yeah, Hydrogen gas and a .308 works a little bit better.... mushroom cloud.
  8. I'm in. My intermediate steering shaft started to rattle again after having it replaced 10k miles ago.
  9. Some info: The tach signal at the gauge appears as if its a 4 cylinder, so you need to convert it. At the PCM it's as if the polarity is switched (you don't get the same signal from the PCM that you get from inside the cab). I don't recall the plug and pin number at the PCM (it is still a white wire -- want to say pin 57 but really dont remember). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's correct. 4cyl at the gauge cluster. If anyone is interested in this....signal to the tachometer has a frequency proportional to the actual RPMs. For 8cyl engines you would take frequency*15 to get actual RPMs. For 4cyl engines I believe it is frequency*30.
  10. What is the file extension of the movie you are trying to burn? If you have a copy of a movie at 700MB then it will no doubt be lower in quality than you want. It sounds like your movie was ripped to a divx or .avi format. This is typical of movies you download from the web. If you have a physical copy of the disk and are planning on ripping it to your hard drive try the program dvdshrink. It's free and out there on the web. Basically you can rip a full DVD with or without compression. You can also use this program to burn to a single layer DVD. *Edit Kiss beat me to it */Edit
  11. Yeah, I think they just re-installed my ram air wrong because now the passenger side vent is jacked and I get tons of wheel rub.
  12. I've been thinking about doing the headlights. But to me it looks like the left vent isn't on right, and the cover has a little bit of a twist to it. Maybe I'm just being over critical.
  13. Onyx Welcome to the site! After the Antenna delete make sure to upgrade your PCM. Your truck will come to life. I have the volant intake with Ram air. It's good too. You will have to do some modifications with the Ram air to make it fit over the brake duct, but it's not too bad. On a different note, any of you fellow Dallas area folks have any body work done at Huffines Body Shop. I just had them fix my front end. Not too happy with it. here's a pic. Is it me or is something not quite right with my bumper cover (with the exception of the missing center billit grill)?
  14. I was in your position for a while, it seemed that I liked everything. I didn't realize which field I should go into until I took an Intro to Economics course. Part of the course involved reading Adam Smith's work. Smith being the wise man in the way of economics that he was said something along the lines of "Do what you are the best at, even if you can do other people's jobs better than they can." So I took his advice, which kind of falls in line with what Mr. P is saying. Do what you are naturally best at. I took so many classes trying to figure out what I wanted to do that I ended up graduating with 3 BS degrees. So, be careful or you could end up with that on your resume. Now, I have a great job and I enjoy what I do. Something that my dad used to tell me was "Work lasts for the rest of your life. Go to school as long as you can." At the time 5 year of college seemed like I had been in school for a long time. But once I graduated and started workin, I realized how true what my dad said was. I'm just giving my opinion here so take what I say with a grain of salt. Figure out what you are best at and enjoy the most and go into that field, but don't necessarily be in a rush to get out of school. My 5 years of college were some of the best times I've had. You will never have the same chance again to meet so many different people in that way. Take advantage of that. Tom
