  1. I havent tried the radio. but I do know that my rear defrost and my A/C back lighting button are out so I tried fixing it. I just broke the damn bulbs trying to get them out. I dont even know where I would get new bulbs to put in the holes..... any one?

For the ones that you broke, you can try ordering them from your GM dealer.

For the ones on the radio you can take your radio to any GM/Delphi authorized repair shop.

They will fix it for you.

You can ask your dealer parts manager who he deals with.

They use them all the time for repairs & replacements of radios, speedo's, etc...

I live in the NYC area and the place all the dealers use in the Tri-State area is MODEL ELECTRONICS.

They used to be in the Westchester County NY area, but I believe they are in New Jersey now.

When they were in NY I took my new speedo there to have them set the mileage to match my old speedo.

  2. What's the scoop on the headrest monitors? Are they install kits? Are they replacement headrests to the factory ones? I'm not too keen on losing my "SS" embroidery ... :nono:

Yes... Replacements... You would have to get the new headrest embroidered.

I guess you could ortder just the screens and have them installed into your headrests, but then you would lose the articulation feature of the headrests that come with the monitors.

  3. I am starting this Group buy because I want to get the

front Passengers side, 7" Vizualogic Visor Monitor at a great price.

Click Here for the Vizualogic Website Link

I spoke with a friend and he said we can get a substantial discount

on these if we get 10 or more buyers.

The other great thing about this is that you will now have an additional visor.

This is something Chevy did away with a few years back.

He also has the Vizualogic 7" Headrest Monitors (pictured below) too.

The Headrest Monitors can be purchased immediately at a special SALE price.

So if you need the headrest monitors you will not have to wait till we get 10 people

    to get special pricing.

PM me for the pricing on both as he does not want me to post it here.

Here are the official shipping costs from Goodmark.

FREE Pickup is available from their Lawrenceville, Georgia or Norwalk, California warehouses.

The Pallet charges will apply after the first 10 Delivery locations above have been filled. (up to 3 hoods per pallet & location)

$125.00 per hood shipped to a residence, PLUS a $20.00 Pallet Charge.

$95.00 for 1 hood shipped to a business, plus a $20.00 Pallet Charge.

$150.00 for 3 hoods shipped to a business, plus a $20.00 Pallet Charge. ($56.66 per person)

Note: The Pallet Charges shown above DO NOT apply to the Original 10 Confirmed Delivery Locations & Buyers also listed above. Up to 3 hoods to each location. Which can hypothetically be 30 hoods.

Below are the 2 hood options for the Silverado, and a pic of the underside.

The Ram-Air style is NOT functional but can be made to work. Also the Ram-Air is VENTED at the rear the same way the Cowl hood is.

Presently there is NO kit to make either hood completely functional direct to your intake/air cleaner. You will have to devise something on your own should you choose to do so.

  7. So what do we need to do to pick them up on Monday? Do we need any information to walk in there and get them?

    Thanks!

    You guys are bad...

Someone asked this a while back and I think I posted the answer in the thread.

Glenn has arranged your pickup with Goodmark.

A hood with your name will be reserved for you at the warehouse.

All you wll need to do is show ID.

I also PM'd all of you about this today and asked that you call Glenn for details.

Enjoy and Good Luck guys, don't forget to post pics of your new hood.

Update: I just spoke to Glenn and he said he will find out tomorrow who you will see or ask for at Goodmark.

He said he may give out confirmation numbers.

I will let you guys know as soon as I find out.

  8. I sent payment yesterday, hopefully the CA warehouse pickups will be ready this week

Great News for you guys that have requested to pick up your hoods at the Goodmark SoCal Location in Norwalk.

If you have already paid for your hood, your hood will be ready for pick up as soon as Monday December 4th.

Also, if you have NOT paid for your hood yet, please call Glenn to let him know your intentions either way.

    Thanks,

    John

  9. Just to let everyone know, when I talked to Glenn, he told me today was the last day to send payment. I'll be sending mine out today.

Has anyone else sent it out?

Glenn just called me and told me he is monitoring this thread.

TODAY is NOT the last day to get your money in.

He said that you still have till the end of November or even early december to send in the funds.

BUT remember, the longer you wait to send the funds... The longer it will take to receive your hood.

Glenn did mention that he has only received a small handful of payments so far and was wondering when the rest would come.

If you have already sent Glenn payment and he has NOT acknowledged it's arrival. Please call him and let him know immediately.

  10. Since this order will not be placed until after Thanksgiving, what would be the last day to send payment? Also, since I will be paying through Paypal, do I need to add the fees or does Paypal do that already?

Your questions are better directed to Glenn.

He is NOT monitoring this thread and your questions will go unanswered here.

Call Glenn and ask when he needs or wants payment by.

Also, PalPal will NOT add the fees for you.

Glenn is charged the fees to his account by PayPal and he is just recouping them.

Ask him how much to add on to the price.

  11. I have a concern about the pick up for the SoCal crowd. How are we to go and pick up the hood at the Norwalk warehouse without any type of proof of purchase, reciept, etc? I sent you a PM concerning this, but I just wanted to put it out there for anyone else who was concerned. Also, what is the Paypal address I can send payment?

Great question, but don't sweat it...

You don't think that your going to be asked to walk into Goodmark and just say "give me a hood" do you ?

Contact the seller to make all arrangements for payment type, shipping or pickup instructions.

And as for his PayPal address... He just told me that you should use the email address I sent you all.

  12. Are we going to get a PM or something to give us further instructions on when we pay and get the hoods??? :dunno:

Take it easy... I know everyone is excited about the hood.

I haven't been online in a couple of days.

I was also trying to give it some time to see if more people wanted to get in on this so that maybe more members can partner up to save on shipping.

The people who are picking up at the new California warehouse have to wait a little longer too because the hoods are not at that location yet.

I know your all psyched about the hood so I won't keep you guys waiting any longer.

I will be sending everyone a PM tomorrow (11/13) with instructions on who to contact for payment when I get home from work around 4pm EST.

Have the address of your business shipping location ready.

    Thanks,

    John

  13. Yep, FedEx did come out a little cheaper, about $20 a tire. But I also had the estimate over $100 to help with 4 big boxes I'll have to buy to ship these monsters, unless you guys have some creative ideas ...

You DON'T box tires when shipping them.

    That's the beauty of them.

You just slap a big label on the tread, and then wrap the label with clear packing tape.

Just make sure when you wrap with the clear tape you go over the label and through the center of the tire a couple of times.

If you wanted to get real fancy you could get some clear stretch/shrink/saran type wrap and put it around & around through the center. Then put a label on.

  14. Looks like there are four of us SoCal people on that list.

Ok so wait, if I decide to pick the hood up from the Norwalk warehouse, there is no charge, but they won't have the hood for two weeks correct??

    That is 100% correct.

I am the kind of person that can wait if it's gonna save me some decent bucks.

But others "Gotta Have It Now"

So that is why I wantd to let everyone know about the wait to pick-up at the Cali warehouse.

  15. I'm working on getting an approval to start a NEW thread where I can organize the info and post a list of buyers and their locations so others can partner up to save on shipping.

I received the official word from my friend today on the shipping prices.

The Pallet Charges shown below DO NOT apply to the Original 10 Confirmed Delivery Locations & Buyers below. Up to 3 hoods to each location. Which can hypothetically be 30 hoods.

I had to argue for this because I felt it was unfair to the people who already agreed to purchase a hood. He called Goodmark and they agreed with me.

I wasn't pleased with the increased price for multiple hoods shipped to the same business location either, but they wouldn't budge. But when you divide it up, it's still pretty reasonable for such a large & heavy shipment.
