  1. I know it's been a long, long time since I've been around. Really need to sale my truck though. Don't want to....have to for financial reasons. It would be nice if someone here, that knows what I've been through with it, would buy it, finish it, and take care of it.

2003, AWD. About 103500 miles. Has a cold air intake, gutted cats, a bully dog programmer(mainly because the stepper motor in the odometer needs replaced). Has a shopman 1 bow tie, BSER roll pan, precision EZ solid billet grille, clear upper headlights, and some color matched Denali interior pieces.

Needs a new front bumper and paint. The passenger door started "catching" in the past month. ABS light is on but brakes still work and air conditioner drain line needs to be redone. If I missed something, I'll add it later. Located in eastern Kentucky. Asking $9,000 or best offer. You can text me at 606-776-6040. No calls please.

  2. The codes thrown and rattle you hear are the signs of a failing cat, whether you gut them or replace them is up to you. You should act on it soon before the cat(s) totally fail and plug themselves up, which will cause severe damage to your engine....

If you gut them, you will need a tune to prevent the CEL from coming back on. If you replace them, make sure you replace your 02 sensors as well. AFAIK, nobody has made 02 simlulators for our trucks in many years, since custom tuning is much more effective...

How many miles on the truck?

About 89,000 on the truck. I had to replace one cat about 3 years ago.

So do you think gutting them will have bad affects on how the truck runs? I can handle the service engine light being on for awhile. Gutting them is about all I can afford right now....all I'd be out is the cost of saw zaw blades.

  3. My truck constantly throws the code P0420. Within the past few days it threw code P0300. And I've got a noise coming from underneath the truck that I think might be one of the cats or both. A friend suggested gutting the cats. But he said it's going to make the truck a lot louder. He used to have a 5.3 GMC sierra that he gutted the cats on and he said it made the truck run better. I was just wondering what some of you all thought about doing it. And was hoping some of you all might have a video of what the trucks sound like with gutted cats. We planned on doing it tomorrow evening after work....then I got to thinkin I should ask and see what you all think......just incase it's a bad idea.

  4. Wanting to trade straight out....my black 20" Boss 330s for your silverado ss rims.....or whatever wheels you want to trade. I like my rims, but there's a black SS in town with the same wheels and a avalance with them. I live in a small town.....so I want mine to be something different. I don't have another set of wheels to slap on my truck and it's my daily driver. So shipping will be about impossible. I live in Morehead, KY and would be willing to drive about a hour to meet up with someone.
