  1. After further review, the 2006 (rear drum setup) has the 13" front rotors, USR7372.
  2. I've been running them for a year now, WAY better than the Scorpion's I had on prior and the stock before that.
  3. The time has come to replace my front rotors. Been trying to locate the correct part number for the EBC USR slotted to match with the Green Stuff 6000 pads. I guess the 2006 2WD I have is not the same setup as previous years? Online search keeps coming up with USR7047. Is this correct?
  4. Ya, the voltage regulator has been what I think is wrong with this thing, now I just have to get the dealer to figure it out that it is bad. Why is it so hard dealing with the dealers, you figure they would be the best one to figure this stuff out?
  5. It only did not crank over that first time, it juct clicked. I got a jump and made it home, never had a problem starting since. I still have the stock alternator, no other electronic modifications. When they tested it the first time at Autozone it was reading 12.5. But that reading seems to be fluctuating, as when I took it to the dealer the second time, it was reading at 14.5.
  6. I have been having trouble with my truck for a couple weeks now. It started off with me running the radio for about 45 minutes, then I went to start the truck and it had a dead battery. I jumped the truck and took it to Autozone where they said it had a low voltage reading and the alternator was bad. So, I have an extended warranty, so I took it to the local dealer, where they checked the truck and said both the battery and alternator were fine. So I started watching, and the battery guage was floating. It would give its normal reading, just over 14 V on the guage, then would float up to about 15 and then drop back to like 12.5. It is basically floating between the two marks on either side of the 14V mark on the guage. I ran a voltmeter across the battery terminals when running, and no mater what the reading inside the truck, I was getting the same thing at the battery. So living in Houston, the heat tends to kill batteries pretty quick here, so I broke down and put a new on in, an Optima Red Top. Gauge held pretty good for a couple of days, then started floating again. Took it back to the dealer, and they said I had a short in the battery control module, they replaced that part. Took the truck home, and the next day, the guage started floating again. Now one thing I have noticed is when I am driving on the highway, the gauge tends to not move, stays pretty constant just over 14.5V. It seems to be when driving home from work, I take the back roads and side streets, that I notice it starts to float again. I don't know what is wrong, or if something is wrong. Truck starts every time except that first time, lights are not dimming, but that gauge moving like it does after the battery going dead scares me a bit. Does anybody have any suggestions? The truck is a 2006 has 80K on it, so would there be something that I should be looking to service on it? Thanks for your time.
  7. I live in Houston, NW side of town close to Willowbrook Mall and the Horse Track area.
  8. Silverstars high and low. The difference between them and stock is that good, only problem is they only last about a year.
  9. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I love that emblem you have sprayed on the front panel, howd you do it? I wanna do it in black to match my truck.. thanx Matt <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Line-X put the emblem on when they did the liner, they have a template that they use to do that. If it is a good dealer they should be able to do it.
  10. I see those Rhinos on the trails all the time, they look like a blast. Here is my baby, a 2005 Kawasaki Brute Force 650.
  11. Don't want to get into a over/under the rail debate, but I've got mine over the rails and get compliments all the time about how people like it. I scratched the heck out of my last truck and did not want to ruin the rails on this one, but if you don't haul under looks better IMO. Here is mine.
  12. Anyone put one of these on their truck? The pics look good, but I wonder how they look in person.
  13. Cleveland Cavaliers over the Houston Rockets in the Finals, you heard it here first.
  14. gdr_11 sent me these pics of his grill as I have been considering this for my red 2006. I think it looks very sharp. Here they are, and thanks again for the pictures (Click on them for large image).
  15. Darn, I'm gonna miss this by two weeks. I'm driving thru Bowling Green on my way from Houston to Cleveland on Nov 17th and am planning to stop there on my way. Ya'll have fun.
  16. No control of the iPod or display on the head unit. I tried to find an adapter that would display on the head unit and allow me the option to control my iPod manually and could not find any that would work and let the XM stay. There is an adapter out there with some tricky wiring would provide control of the iPod and let the XM stay, but I wanted full control of the iPod more than the head unit display.
  17. I've had been looking for an adapter to hook up my iPod for the last couple weeks. I have the factory 6 disk head unit with Bose & XM and wanted to keep it all plus the iPod connection that I can control from the iPod and not have to be locked into scrolling 100+ song playlists on the head unit. Seems like everything I looked at I ran into a road block with either the 6 disk or the XM. Apparently recently PAC came out with a new version of the axillary input GM24 (ver 2.6.20) which works with the XM. There is no wiring to be done with this version, all you do is unplug the two ports from the back of the radio and plug in between the plugs for the GM24. I've been using it all weekend and it sounds great!!! The only thing I have noticed is there is interference in the background when you have the iPod connected and are using the XM or a regular station, so simply unplugging the iPod from the jack solves this. Cost me $95 and another $8 for the RCA to 3.5mm 3' long adapter. I'll let you know if I have any problems with this, but so far so good.
  18. Anybody have a pic of a black billet grill on a red 06 SS?
  19. Anybody in the Houston area or surrounding looking for a stock SS exhaust. It is off a 2006 SS and has 3,900 miles on it. Would prefer local sale but PM me if interested. As of now I want to sell the entire thing so I don't want to sell just the tip.
  20. I just ordered this system yesterday, can't wait until it comes so I can get it on my truck!!!
  21. Wow, that front grill & bumper combo is horrible. Other than that, the rest of the truck could grow on me, it just does not stand out as an original.
  22. I'm not big on dropped trucks like that, but I have to say, that is a damn nice ride you have there!!! Maybe I'll drive by ya some day in H-town.
