  1. Do they make the hardware yet? I looked around and couldnt find much, guys at a local stereo shop say its not out yet. The stations on XM arent half as good as what Sirius has...IMO
  2. I'll get some up tonight
  3. 2006 Silverado SS *All options except sunroof(leather, dual climate control, Bose, etc etc) *7200mi *Black *Belltech 2/2 Drop * 22's(black w/ polished lip) with 305/40/22 General Grabbers Will post pics if anyone is interested. Truck still smells new...mostly highway miles visiting my parents in So. Cal. Oil changed 3 times with Royal Purple 5-30 and Mobil 1 filters. Mobil 1 synthetic in the rear end as well. It has been well taken care of. No dents, dings or anything of that sort. Im in escrow on a house so my "wants" gotta go as of now $35,000 obo
  4. They are also some of the easiest things in the world to make fast
  5. Chevy does program in torque management. Meant to do the same thing. It occurs just before the shift. It can be removed with a PCM reprogram. I wouldn't do it with at least a shift kit and larger tranny cooler, but it can be done. Taking it out will make you faster along with pushing out your WOT shift points. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah I figured that...you can feel it. Just curious why would I need a cooler and shift kit if I had a tune done to do away with the TM? Not to sound like a retard, I've just always have cars with a manual so I'm kinda new to the automatic world I can see the tranny cooler I guess, but I was thinking the shift kit and the tune would accomplish the same thing? Thanks man
  6. I did the Belltech 2/2 with front spindles instead of keys and shackles in the back... Had a little vibration at about 25mph that I got rid of with 2* shims... Came out pretty good...wish the back was an inch lower though
  7. The V6's actually run pretty good...Mines a 4 cylinder, pretty slow but gets good gas mileage Has 211,000 miles on it too...stock motor and trans, it will never die
  8. haha Dude, theres nothing wrong with my truck...its bone ass stock and runs fine. Wont be stock for too long but it is what it is for now... Its pulled away from Hemi's and plenty of 5.3 Chevy's...it pulled away from the Titan I just couldnt hold him off above 95mph...maybe it was the gas, It has 91 in it now so we'll find out sooner than later. I know for a fact his Titan is bone stock... The whole point of my original post was to find out if Chevy pulls timing at a particular MPH or RPM etc etc....Just seems like my truck falls on its face once it shifts into 3rd gear. My mustang had a set up in the computer called tip-in retard, when you would shift hard(powershift) it would retard 5 or 6* of timing into the next gear to save the tranny...you could tune that out so I was wondering if GM had something similar.... I had a 409rwhp/537rwtq 95 Cobra for 3 years that I used as a daily driver, If you've ever tried to keep a 400rwhp 5.0 running daily you'd know what Im gettin at ...Im not mechanically inept and would have a pretty good idea if my car/truck/bike/lawnmower was running like shit. My old Titan had 10" of lift and 35" tires... Ran 16.2@85mph at 2000ft With a Volant intake and a flowmaster... It was a 4 door. Pretty good for a full size truck on 35's...Never ran it stock height. Not defending Nissan but those trucks run alright... so as far as a 91 POS Honda giving one a hard time... I hope your kidding cause my bullshit flag is up... I have a 92 Honda Accord EX with a 5 speed for a hoopty and it aint got shit on a Titan, SS or even a school bus for that matter. I'll post up what happens when I run into him later this week
  9. Threw in the 2* shims from Belltech and the vibrations are gone... FYI for you guys that wanted to know
  10. Where can I get the scanguage at? Your truck looks sick BTW
  11. BINGO!! We have determined the problem. Yes.. you can run the truck on 87 but it goes to a lower octane table... I say you get that 87 out of the tank and race him again once you've got some 91 in there... with the compression of these being so high its a must you run 91 or better to be competitive on the street. I'd also venture to guess you're a California guy if you're talking 91 octane instead of 93. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Does it really... I had kinda HEARD of that, but when I railed on it, I didnt hear any detonating so I didnt sweat it. But Im acutally in Vegas...but close enough to California, so we get their gas Well I'll put better fuel in it before I see him again and see what happens. Didnt mean to come off like a Troll fellas, I had "WTF" scrolling across my face when his truck went by me just as much as some of you when reading my post
  12. haha I wish I was full of shit...but Im a little butthurt about it to be honest The Titan had a killer powertrain...thats about it and why I got rid of it, the rest of the truck was falling apart and Nissan is a joke when it comes to taking care of warranty issues like that. I did pull away from him...I even let him hit it first, I came back from his rear bumper to putting space on him in the middle of 2nd gear, but for some reason when my truck hits 3rd gear its like I pulled the E-Brake and he pulled past me and was inching away til I hit the 105mph limit. Up til 80-85mph my truck seems to rip, but 3rd seems so damn tall it takes a minutes to get going and when it finally does it hits the limiter. Mine is a 2wd and its black...the fast color, ehh well I thought is was anyway ;) Im not trolling...Just suprised I got pulled and tryin to see how common it was...apparently not common though. haha Any of you guys notice a difference running 87 octane instead of 91? I've only had my truck for like 6 weeks and the dealer filled up my tank w/ 87 ... for bringing back GM's dealer quality survey or whatever it was with good marks.... It doesnt detonate on 87...I cant see it making a difference, but I guess these trucks have knock sensors and if it was detonating It would pull timing before I even heard it?
  13. Raced a buddy of mine last night in an 04 2dr Titan... From a 1st gear roll I put about 5 feet of space between his front bumper and my rear bumper UNTIL I hit 3rd gear...then he pretty much screamed by me We are both bone stock...Just kinda suprised I guess, I used to have a Titan and they have killer drivetrains...Their motor/trans(5spd auto) combo is awesome...You dont have the problem of falling out of power so bad at 85mph+. But the way it was going until then I didnt think Id get reeled back in... Time for some mods I guess!
  14. Just curious, why are you getting rid of it? If I was anywhere near there Id pick it up....
