  2. ok i am ordering my stuff today and summit asked me if my rotors are 1.142 thick or the 0.790 thick rotor as i said before i have a 04 ss awd but i am not to sure on the size

I assume you are talking about the rear rotor width. The rear is 29mm(1.142). Do you mind if I ask what you decided to go with? I am in the same boat. Let me know what you endded up ordering. Part numbers would be great too. I wanted to go with EBC rotors and pads, but they do not seem to make them for the 03 SS. I think they make yellow series pads. Websites are confusing for our trucks. Are you going with SS braided lines? If so Which ones? Summit does not seem to be carrying the Earls lines anymore(at least on the website).

  3. Truckinss, I don't have an answer to your question. I did price some junkyard 06 calipers, brackets and rotors for 60 bucks each side today. So with pads, stainless braided lines and resurface of the rotors you/I could be upgraded for around 220-240. Just something to think about.

What model silverados use the calipers, brackets & 13" rotors? Was it just the SS or was it all models? Was it both the '05 & '06?

  4. My Driver's side heated seat on my '03 SS is coming on and going off at random. It cycles through the 3 levels. If I turn it off, it comes back on. It has been doing this intermittently for months, now it does it nearly all the time. I thought it was affected by the humidity(i.e. rainy days it would do it, sunny days it would not!?!)

I searched for this problem and found two that had the issue, but never posted a fix. Any advise? I am about ready to unplug it. Boy does it get HOT!
