Today is my last day with the SS, she goes to Macon, GA this evening and to her new owner tomorrow morning.

Yeah this is my second SS, i'm sure I'll wind up with another one in a couple of years, it'd be great is GM would make a new one worthy of the SS badge.

Good choice, I've had the Kumhos before, they didn't last long and were noisy. I think i'm going to put Cooper Zeon's on the truck next time, I really like the tread pattern on them.

The metal linkage on the back of mine broke, A friend at a body shop got me a new one painted for $26.

Been there done that recently, it came right off in my hand when I tried to open it. I got it replaced, then the tailgate did the same thing a couple weeks later...

FYI the SS can outrun a Tornado, I know this because it did this afternoon on the way to work. It's some really scary stuff to be driving for your life cause there's no where to take shelter on the highway...

It scared the shit outta me, It was so dark outside you couldn't see the funnel, I topped a hill running about 65mph and it was just there. If I had stopped I would have been sitting in the middle of it so I floored it, the SS gave me all she had and we got around it just before it crossed the road. It was a serious rush but I won't be doing it again if I can help it.

New Nitto 420's in a 305/50/20 are on. What started out as a great deal on tires turned into an expensive day at the shop. However, all the worn/bad steering parts have been replaced and the truck is now back in alignment and rides/steers/drives like new. It also looks way better!

Prety sure it's time for a new pitman and idler on mine, I had it rotated, balenced and aligned Saturday and it still drives like crap and feels loose.

....wish my SSS wasnt STILL broken lol. time is not on my side... curse GM for ever inventing the horrid 4L60-series trans! Come on you designed them for 185 hp V8's at best WHY keep it for 3 decades? And NO adding an electric aluminum valve body does NOT make up for the other 300 hp!
