  1. Guys, this was my truck that I sold this past weekend. This truck has had Mobile 1 full synthetic since i've owed it, and the high capicity mobile 1 filter. Plugs and wires have about 8-10k miles on them, all OEM AC Delco parts. I've not had any trouble with it at all other that the A\C working intermittenly that last couple of months since it had been in storage instead of being driven every day. My dad is a mechanic and has made sure i've kept this truck is good condition as it's stayed in his warehouse full of toys. I drove the truck about 150 miles to meet the new owner down I-75 running 75-80 mph and didn't have any issues with it at all. I also drive it about 175-200 miles round trip a couple weeks ago with no issues. The truck has alittle over 215k miles on it and I had owned it since 202k miles with zero issues other than the A\C. The new owner is supposed to be taking it to a shop today to get it diagnosed and I told him to let me know what's going on with it and i'd see what I could do to help him out.

  2. My A\C is not blowing cold all the time, some times it will freeze you to death, other times, its luke warm. I had the freon checked and its has the correct pressure. The A\C seems to depend on the RPMs being at least 1500, as long as I'm moving, it's ok most of the time, at a stop, it's luke warm. I replaced the belt on the A\C compressor when I did the serpantine belt the first of the year and everything at the compressor looked ok visually.

    Any ideas?

  3. Everybody is getting soft. Nobody can take criticism anymore and words hurt their feelings. The world is getting softer. You used to be able to whoop your kid in the grocery store for acting up, now folks want to call child proctective services. Kids used to have to "try out" for the team. Now everybody gets to participate and everybody gets a trophy just for trying....The USA is getting softer and turning everybody into people that feel entitled to things instead of having to work for it. Just like when people feel their feelings are hurt, instead of ignoring it or having a backbone and saying something people cry because they had their feelings hurt. You can't even tell the truth now, you have to sugar coat it so folks dont get hurt.

 We need a butt hurt emoction...

  4. It sounds like the a/c belt and the only thing it runs is the a/c compressor so you wont hurt anything, you just wont have any a/c. It is very simple to change and I would suggest changing out the tensioner at the same time. Change it by going up through the bottom, under the truck. That is what I found to be easiest. Also, to get to the a/c belt, you have to remove the main serpentine belt (the a/c belt sits behind the main belt). While you are at it, I would change the main serpentine belt and tensioner also. To get the main belt off you have to remove the intake tube first, then the fan shroud. It really isn't difficult at all and shouldn't take much time to do.

^^^, changing from the bottom is pretty easy and shouldn't take all that long.

  5. It's only been three days but honesty, they are extremely comfortable! I'm actually very surprised, I thought it would be a much harder "get-used-to-it" period. I've been on a couple of short runs with them and they're definitely a whole new experience. I got them because I broke my back in the Marines and have had a lot of trouble with herniated/bulging discs & general back pain since then. All the research I've seen & read suggests that "barefoot" shoes/running improves your back pain and such significantly. So, I'll probably have to wait a month or more before I can say if that's true or not!

+1 on the Vibrams, it took me about a week to get used to them, they fixed my posture and made my back feel better, I have realitivly flat feet but my wife has high arches and she says they hurt her feet after a couple of hours on pavement\ hard surfaces but feel fine with walking on softer surfaces like grass or dirt.

  6. Strip all that Autozone chrome shit of and you'd have a decent truck with low miles, the exhaust tips would have to go, the wheels aren't my fav but not as bad as some stuff i've seen. That visor thing... Yeah well, there's a list of stuff that needs to be removed. There's a decent low mileage truck under there somewhere, maybe...
