  1. jesse bubb at wait4me peformance can do that, he sells a handheld that he programs 3 custom tunes into it for you. i'm waiting on a tuned pcm from him now, but i was considering the handheld too.. in the end i just went with what i could afford this month. i still may upgrade to the handheld version later, if my mods require me to?.
  2. that was realy sick i just posted up a new topic of a V-max doing a pretty sick burnout in it's own right.. and he got his tires to catch fire too!
  3. not sure if it's repost or not but i never saw it on here?... make sure you have the volume up it's kinda funny too. http://videos.streetfire.net/search/v-max+...841013b1f9a.htm
  4. unless you get "extremely lucky" keep it that way i'm on my third, (realy two the second was a 1 month lapse in judgment) and let's just say i can relate to everything that was said above but seriously all that shit was funny, especialy the last one i did'nt expect it
  5. i even went to the site directly and no good?... can you post whats for sale in here?. thanks.
  6. i've got duel 3" super 40's, but the rest of the exhaust is stock for now, i just ordered my tune, and i specified no cats and pacesetters, so i will have them installed when i get the pcm back. i could post a clip of the duels now if you want, or it'll be about a week before i get it finished. also i can't see anyone outflowing 3" true duel's unless there pushing a ton of cfm. now if you use an x-pipe then it will only flow as much as that will allow, i never understood the point of having a restriction in your exhaust.. unless you just wanted low-end torque, but then why go duels? i think a single 3-1/2 or 4" would be good for that.
  7. i'm not an expert on this so someone please jump in... but is'nt there a sensor/chip/module? or something that can be setup to automaticaly shut the nitrous off a couple hundred rpm before the limiter, to prevent what happened to the person above.. i know there is i just forgot what it's called. so it seems to me you were just missing a vital component to your nos set-up?. i was looking into buying a kit for like $400 but once i asked everyone on here i realized to use it safely it would be a little over a grand, so thanks to the good advice from the members here i did'nt crack a piston my self.
  8. well i was just at the track (lacr sucks but i have no choice) and ran 12 times, i ran 15.39 (cold 1st run) and 15.4x almost every other run. i was trapping at 88-89mph i know the times suck but remember there at 3000ft with a 5-10mph headwind.. and i now realize traction is a big issue before my truck broke in (900 miles) it ran 15.7 so a .3 gain without doing anything aint bad. at a good track i would expect mid-high 14's or better with some good traction. plus i needed some base line's before i put my tune in (just ordered) and install my headers, and delete the cats, should be nice then. good new's is i was killing everyone off the tree, i ran a 69 chevelle 3 times we practicaly tied twice and i won once, he was running 15-15.2 but his reaction times were in the 5 to 7-tenth range and i was consistantly under 5-tenths most were 2-3 and i got two runs under a tenth, 0.067 and another i dont remember off hand. i even had a 05 gto beat until about 65-70 when he finaly caught up and past me. i beat a new lexus (did'nt catch the model#) he ran 15 flat i ran 15.4 but his reaction was 0.8xx mine was 0.1xx so i got him by 0.7 off the light... so i actualy won. i just realized it's not always who's got more power, sometimes being a better driver can make the difference. i mean you can put a monkey in a 10 second car and i would'nt stand a chance, but if theres only a couple tenths difference it's all up to the driver's i'm just excited about that, even though i might not have had the quicker e.t. i got to the finish line 1'st
  9. i just tried every technique at the track (lacr) and i gained .2 just by manualy shifting. and it just confirmed what i already knew.. i've done this with both my old silvy's 03 5.3 and 05 5.3 and manualy shifting is always quicker then leaving it in drive. if you have'nt tried it, please do. and get a feel for it, if you shift right it will gain time. as far as chase's truck, i'm guessing since his is no where near stock, his tranny will shift optimaly on it's own. our's need a little help. hmmm... wonder if chase remembers what a stock truck is like? lol
  10. looks good! thats about the only thing i never liked about the SSS... that TBSS idea sounds good too.
  11. i don't see any reason why it would'nt everthing should swap right over. like you said the only thing i could see is shortning the drive shaft. i think it will be kick @$$ if you get it done post some pics and vids!. also are you selling anyparts from that SS that you stole?, if so PM me!. thats gotta be the best deal i ever heard... if you run across another like that i'll give you a finders fee
  12. i also would like the google ads gone, i've inadvertantly clicked on them as well, and there annoying. otherwise glad to hear everything is getting fixed. i'm not a supporting member, but thats because there were a lot of things not working, if it is all repaired i would support the forum, but there is one concern for me... i was hoping we could get some recognition for the Vmax-Vho guys, you know like hats, shirts, key fobs, maybe throw a couple of us in the calender?... and no i'm not nominating myself, although i would'nt refuse i can post a new topic and gaurentee i will get a bunch of people to pre order these items?. let me know what you guys think?.
  13. anything you need to know you'll find here, welcome to the site!
  14. nos is like finding buried treasure to me!.. it's not easy to find around here (or in the valley?) so every time i see it i have to buy it.. i like redbull, but i'm a big guy and it piss's me off when i pay $2.25 and get two drinks out of it nos is mansized so i stick with that.
  15. they don't seem to flow well imo either but thats just my oppinion i've had mine on for a while, but i've got a V-max so i did'nt have to stick it under the SS emblem over the line's, i think it fit's well in my truck. heres a pic... sorry about the flash but it's dark out.
  16. nice choice i would have gone with the steel one as well (plan to some day soon?). i was looking at those dash covers to a couple weeks ago, i like them a lot. for your truck i would go black. i know most people won't agree with me on this, but i never liked when people mold in there roll pans, it make the tail gate look out of place to me. but when it's just bolted on it keeps that line and looks more in sync with the gate... plus it cost more to weld and repaint your bed, and if you ever wanted to revert back or switch to another style you could'nt. just my .02
  17. assuming it was a 5.3 sub mid 15's is pretty good. as far as telling them to keep it.. if he bought it new then he paid good money for it, so that just seems to me. i wouldn't just drop a $3k investment like that, but maybe he's loaded and don't give a $% thanks for the info.
  18. lol! reminds me of my grandmother only funnier...
  19. sucks about the truck, but at least you got it fixed!. welcome to the site, it realy makes owning one of these trucks that much better!
  20. so it don't matter if i get a sirius or xm receiver anymore?... they will both pick up the same channels?.
  21. That's what I use. I just wipe some on before I go to the track and wash it off when I get home. Goo Gone will work though if it is already stuck on the truck. cool tip... but i have a Q, doe's it have to be pam, i'm assuming any cooking spray will work?. also my truck is white, so i'm assuming it won't hurt the paint, but what about dark colors?. tia guys
  22. that sucks.. but like you said "could have been worse" and it was cool of him to send you one for free
