    lets see lebron james 0 rings vs the black momba 5 so yeah king bryant it is :dbanana: in my book jordan is number 1 and kobe number 2 but not by alot and lebron doesnt come no where near them.he showed he is not an elite player and took the easy way out by joining a all star team what a pus**!!!!

  3. Ok guys, I had time to work on it a little today. I checked the pressure with a gauge and I started at about 45 psi, but the compressor still wouldnt kick on. I unpluged the low pressure line and tried to jump it with a paper clip and still nothing. Then I ran a hot and ground from the battery directly to the pump and it kicked on and the air got ice cold in the truck. I then used a test light and checked the hot and ground at the low pressure switch and nothing. Then I checked it at the pump and still nothing. So I then took the relay out and jumped it there and the compressor would kick on and stay on but I noticed my pressure was slowly dropping so I decided to quit and come and ask for some more advice. By the time I was finished the pressure was at about 15 psi. I know I have a leak somewhere but the question is where? I replaced all the seals that I could find, the 2 lined that come out of the firewall, the 2 at the pump, the 2 at the condensor, and the o-ring on the high pressure line, am I missing one somewhere? Why dont I have power to the low pressure switch, is there a fuse somewhere that I am missing?

    make sure the relay is getting power if it is and not closing then its a bad relay,swap one of your other relay to check it.when the low pressure goes down does your high pressure go up??? if it is then you have a restriction in the orifice or strainer...if both pressure go down then its low charge or air flow restriction but i bet your problem is non condensables in your system (moisture)like wody said :dbanana: that would cause pressure problems.pull a vacuum and recharge it and i bet your pressures will be golden.as for the power problem your gonna have fun :dbanana: the best way to check it is try to get a wiring diagram of our truck,try to trace the wire from the relay and see whats in line i would also check the in cab ac switch...

  4. i was under the impression that the compressor failed since you didn't answer my question if it had an internal failure. i know of three different situations at my shop where the power was checked and good, but they did not check the ground and replaced the compressor only to find out that wasn't the problem.

     

     

     

    never said that was the only problem...only one of few. you know as well as i do that pressures are key, not only for optimal operation, but for operation...period.

     

    i think we can both agree that in order to help, we need to know what the original fault was before any repairs were made. :cheers:

     

    another question:

     

    could you tell if it gradually started blowing warmer and warmer or did it just suddenly start blowing hot air?

  5. I tried to jump the low pressure switch across but it still didnt kick on. I havent had much time to work on it but I will let you guys know as soon as I figure something out. Thanks for the help guys.

    i bet your original compressor was good,your problem is gonna be a ground or power issue.......put direct 12v power to the compressor and see what happens.......
  6. I installed the pump, belt, replaced all the seals, oiled, and charged the system and cant get the pump to kick on. I got it to take all the oil, and 1 can of r134 and then it stopped taking it. The pump isnt kicking on and still blowing hot air. Is there a way to override the relay and make it kick on manually? I think if I can get it to kick on I can finish charging the system and then it should work fine once it is charged I think...

    i agree with wody pull a vacuum for correct operation of the ac but that wont keep the compressor from coming on.i think the low pressure switch is preventing the compressor from coming on,jump it out and see if it comes on.the best way to charge the ac for a auto is to weigh in the charge with a scale :wink2: try does things and get back at us.....................what was wrong with the original compressor????

     

    autozone here in vegas rent out the vacuum pump for 200 deposit and get all your money back when returned......

    I think you could get the drako in cali but it has to be converted into a single shoot and with 10 round mags
