  1. In my original post I said KBB only said it was worth 11,500. That was the instant cash offer price, way lower than trade or private sale (which are listed here).
  2. I am finally thinking of selling my ’06 victory red SS with 80k, bone stock, original owner. Truck is in good shape, interior has normal wear, exterior is good (no body damage). Not sure what is standard equipment, but mine has Bose stereo, leather, sunroof, dark grey interior, dual power seats with heaters & 2 memory buttons, 3 button garage door remote, dual zone climate control, factory hitch, good spare, tires in very good shape. It could use a paint job, clear coat bubbles. Not sure what I should look to get on a sale or trade in. KBB said around 11,500. (My mistake, this was their instant cash offer price, see below) Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hey guys, I damaged one of my OEM rims and was thinking of getting one (if they match great) or two replica rims. If I can get away with just buying one great, but do the center caps fit reps? If not I will buy two and put them both on either the front or rear. The real question is do they look identical? Finish match & center caps fit? Last question is brand of reps & where to buy?? What a nightmare, not only did I damage my rim, but it was 23 out at night & the spare retaining winch came down to about 6 inches from the ground and broke! Had to call for a ride home to get something to cut the cable, then the jack slipped (fortunately still had two lugs on wheel, finally my never been used since 2006 spare would not hold air. SMH! Thanks for any help

  7. HELP!! I really screwed up yesterday, after returning from a road trip I had a ton of bugs on my truck. I tried a product I had around from removing some pinstripe 'Turtle Wax-Adhesive remover', on the back of the aerisol can it said removes adhesives, bugs, ect, ect... This is my fault I know, just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to fix it, or what it did (chemical burns, stripped clear coat)? I sprayed it on the front end and mirrors, waited a minute or so and washed the truck, and you see the results. Headlights were clear, grill was black, and plasic on mirros was black too.
  8. He might want to sell the wing if the price is right, for someone on here he said he would take around 4800.00 bucks. or trade for a super charger. Let me kno?
  9. LOL, I couldn't drive with it! It was just sitting on it (not mounted or anything) for enough time to take the pic's

  11. Had to go pick up his new couch and sat it on my truck for kicks.
  12. In regards to my above post, my brother worked at a dealership that got in some hot water over denying warranty claims because of after market parts. One guy put on bigger rims and they denied him for a bad coil pack, WTF does one have to do with the other?
  13. Some Info on the Law: The Law Federal law sets forth requirements for warranties and contains a number of provisions to prevent vehicle manufacturers, dealers and others from unjustly denying warranty coverage. With regard to aftermarket parts, the spirit of the law is that warranty coverage cannot be denied simply because such parts are present on the vehicle, or have been used (see Attachment A). The warranty coverage can be denied only if the aftermarket part caused the malfunction or damage for which warranty coverage is sought. Disputes in this area usually boil down to arguments over facts and technical opinions, rather than arguments over interpretations of the law. Check Vehicle History Sometimes a malfunction in a new vehicle may be identified as a "pattern failure," a failure that is recognized as common to your make and model of vehicle. It may be a manufacturing defect which has become the subject of a government-mandated recall. You should check with another dealer, the vehicle manufacturer or an independent service provider—such as those listed below—to see if there are any Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), ìfield fixes or other service-related information for your vehicle which would indicate that the problem you are experiencing is a common one. In cases of government-mandated recalls, the dealer is obliged to notify you as a vehicle owner. However, you may check for yourself by calling the vehicle manufacturer's 800 number, the EPA (for emissions systems issues) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), for safety-related issues. EPA: 202/233-9040 NHTSA: 800/424-9393 Chiltons: 610/964-4600 AllData: 916/684-5200 Motor Publications: 800/426-6897 American Automobile Manufacturers Association: 313/872-4311 Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association: 202/296-8537 Determine the True Cause of the Problem If possible, attempt to independently verify the accuracy of the claims made by the dealership. The manufacturer of the aftermarket part may be helpful to you in providing a technical assessment of the problem. If there is a reasonable possibility that the aftermarket product caused the problem, it may be best to try to reach a compromise. If, however, it is clear that the aftermarket product is unrelated to the problem, you should attempt to gather as much information as possible to support your claim. Useful evidence might include photos, copies of relevant service information, records of prior repairs performed under warranty, or the objective written opinion of a qualified third party (with relevant experience, accreditation, etc.).
  14. welcome to the site, but my truck hits 100mph in alot less than 5 minutes. try releasing the E brake?
  15. I appreciate the replies, I dont know if the lawyer can help but I'll try. The company said I can't work, if I can't get a security badge for the schools. I get 90 days administrative leave to get this resolved (unpaid of course). I was looking forward to using my tax return for a tune on my truck now I must tighten the budget up. DAMN, my truck is almost 6 months old and no tune, sucks!
