  2. Original condition SS Silverado. Interior is in great condition...still smells new. Engine and transmission runs great. This vehicle came from the factory with every available option at the time except a sunroof. The 6.0 high performance engine hasn't been altered from the original specs. The Chevrolet dealer has added synthetic motor oil like clockwork. Why am I letting this gem go? Brake lines are rusted, I've got a baby on the way, and can't justify the repair for a vehicle I drive solely for pleasure. C.all or tex.t= 2*4.0*4.17*2*9*32
  3. I've been looking everywhere for the LH brake ducts. Is there like some secret society I must be a member of in order to get a hold of these? lol
  4. Dinged rear bumper cover and step pad(passenger) when I backed up into a big garbage bin. If you got one reasonably priced hit me back. If its already painted black then thats even better. EDIT: If you have the entire rear bumper assembly you want to sell whole and its black...make me an offer.
  5. I just purchased an AWD 2005 SS and this vehicle barralled through the recent blizzard here in the DC area like a locomotive. I even had the oppourtunity to compare the AWD system to a 4X4 system back to back when they gave me the keys to a Silverado 4X4 pickup to drive around when I got to work. In my opinion AWD just seems like a much smoother transfer of power to all 4 wheels. Its as if all 4 wheels are talking to each other to help you get through the rough spots. On my way to work as the storm picked up strength that night I remember cars being stuck on the exit ramp which curved upward. I drove off the road, hit the curb unto the grass, and drove right on by (and looked cool in the SS doing so...lol). All 4 wheels were working together seemlessly and kicking up snow getting me up that incline. In a 4X4 it seems as if the wheels in the front axle talk to each other and the wheels on the rear talk but there is no intra communication between them all as in AWD. While this may seem like a clear disadvantage for 4X4 it actually helps when the snow is packed up to outrageously high levels. If the front axle got stuck completely the rear didnt shut down and vice versa. The disadvantage of 4X4 seems to be slick roads with thin coatings of packed snow. Its a thin disadvantage but still noticable. AWD shines on these types of surfaces. AWD eliminated the pain in having to constantly switch in and out bewteen 2 and 4wd. All in all they both handled admirably in the blizzard while I have to give a razor thin advantage to the 4X4 (in the really hard hit outlying areas). AWD had the slight advantage on moderately snowed/slicked roads. Hope that helped.
  6. I've been doing research on doing the install for this. You stated you hooked this up in 10 minutes in your truck. Did that include all the components i.e. VSS and GPS antenna? I checked out a link you posted somewhere with instructions and it said you would have to pull the whole dash apart to include the instrument cluster and AC/HEATER controls. It looked like a nightmare to install.
  7. Is this head unit still for sale? If so do you have a part#?
