  1. Forsale a pair of Belltech Hangers from a 4" Drop Kit also the Carrier Bearing Shims. I kept the Shackles on the Truck so all you need are 2" Shackles and some Grade 8 7/16 Bolts and 2* Shims and you got a 4" Drop. Instuctions included. They are like new bolted them on and rode about a week. I'll take $45 for them. Shipped to 48 states. Thanks

  2. You need to go with a 3* shim. That is if you were placing the shim in with the fat side to the front.

Then again....with all the problems I've been having with vibrations......what do I know.

    Jim

why do you say he needs a 3 degree shim?

1 or 2 degrees off will not make any huge difference. it may cause a little vibration but not much. what i tell everyone is to get their pinion angle measured . this will tell you how far out of wack your pinion angle really is instead of guessing. i had mine checked after i put in 6 degree shims and it was off about 2 degrees still. so it actually needs to have the leaf spring perches moved or an 8 degree shim ( 8 degrees is a little much for a shim ebut it can be done) . however everyones truck will not be exactly the same but dam close. if i were you i would get it measured and order a correct shim. mr p also had his measured with no shims and a 3 or 4 inch drop and i remmeber him saying he was 8-9 degrees off. so that tells you how well the kits were designed.

Today I put the Stock Hangers back on the truck but left the 2" Shackles with a 2* Shim and it rides Graet no Vibrations. I think I'm going to leave it like that for now. It was a Belltech Kit Thanks for your Help

  3. Can you run the Stock Shackles with the Belltech Lowering Hangers, I put the hangers and shackle kit on my AWD and it dropped it almost 5" in rear so I put the 1" lowering Shackles in place of the 2" and its Still 1" lower tahn Front. So I want to know if I can use the STOCK SHACKLES and bring it up another inch to level the truck out? Thanks

  4. I lowered my AWD with Spindles and Shackle/Hanger kit, and installed a 2 Degree Shim. It lowered it 2 in Front and 4 in Rear. I had NO Vibrations but it was too Low in the rear. I Installed the 1 " Belltech Shackles and took out the 2" Shackels and I got a small Driveline Vibration only underload or foot on gas. My Question is the 2 Degree Shim too much and need a 1 Degree??? Does the Hangers have any Effect on the Pinion Angle?? Thanks for your help.

  5. My Buddy and I Lowered my 03 SS AWD last night and it looks Great!! :D I used Belltech Spindles and Shackles. When looking at the Spare Tire while on the rack we discovered that the Spare Tire was a 16". :nonod: Damn now I'll guess I'll be looking for another Spare 17" in Size. Belltech states that only use 17" or Larger Wheels with the Spindles. Just wanted to pass it on. I think only 03-04 used 16" Spares cause my 05 GMS Serria had a 17" Spare.

  6. You have to know how low you want o be first, then ask for the right way after that. Most here use the belltech spindles and rear hangers. If you want to go lower than that you would use spindles, hanger, shackels, and keys.  I used leaf springs for the rear and the spindles up front, as anyone who went to the Lebanon Valley meet, my truck is low.

I thought in my post I Stated 2" Front and Rear, only because I read in the many pages of posts( my search) that you shouldn't lower a AWD more than 2". @' in frnt would look better but 2" in rear would work well becuse I tow a Trailer with 2 Yamaha V-Stars and might not have to C-Notch. What do you think? :D
