  2. Something's definitely not right. Mine runs 150F-180F on 90* days in traffic with A/C on, and that's a little hot, imo. Make sure your fluid level is good. Even a quart can make a sinificant difference.

Well I took it to a quick lube and had them do a tranny flush on it. Not 5 minutes after I left there the temperature gauge started to drop down to the 130-140 area. I saw it get high as 150 last night when I was beatin on the truck pretty hard..... :D

Fluid must have been low. and just think, the dealer is what changed it for me when I bought the truck used.... been running hot ever since they messed with it.

  3. You would have to call Zippy and talk to him and he can get you what you need. I am like the others you shouldn't need a trans cooler for a stock truck but I guess since you wrecked it you didn't replace it with a OEM one or bigger? You may have purchased one that is too small for our truck. Do you know the size maybe post it and others can chime in on what they think.

It is an oem trans cooler.

  4. I just did 800 miles of driving this weekend and my temps never got above 170deg. I have a 2600 converter and stock cooler. I was driving in 85deg heat with blasts up to 110mph occasionally. If your temps are that high, there may be another issue like Mr P said.

Hmm... it has been running at 170 - 200 ever since I had the cooler replaced due to a front end accident in my driveway... lol

Slid down the hill into my friends tailgate :banghead: in the snow.

I also had the transmission fluid changed around the same time by the dealer. How would I go about purchasing a shift kit from Zippy or Transgo... I am going to have my mechanic install that as he is checking out the transmission for problems....

What would the corvette syncros I have been reading about do for me?

  5. I have noticed that my tranny temp is getting up near 200 on a regular basis now....

I removed the lines on the stock transmission cooler and about 6 drops of transmission fluid came out.

Is this normal or should fluid run out of the cooler if the truck is turned off? The truck was only off for about 5 minutes before the lines were pulled off the cooler.

I checked the fluid a couple weeks ago and it was full.....

I purchased an $80 alluminum cooler at the auto parts store, but thinking about returning it and getting the B&M Cooler.

    The truck is stock....

  6. What is normal for the trans temp? I have noticed that my temp used 2 run right at the bottom (coldest) line all the time, and barely moved when i really got on it for a good period of time... now it goes all the way up to the first mark....

I did have my trans cooler replaced due to a minor accident on the front end....

Is this normal, or is somthing wrong that it is going up that far under normal driving.

  7. Do you have the harness for the steering wheel controls as well? How long has it been installed in your truck? Any defects?

I do not have the steering wheel controls, that is my next thing to install if I do not sell this.

Its been in my truck for about a week. No defects, just like the stock bose better at this point.

  8. yes sir, the gain is set too high.  you are providing too powerful of a signal to the amps.  If you turn the unit on and off, you will probably hear a pop from the speakers.  Pop that bitch out and play twister with the screws.

    haha ok... thank man!

now what is causing the engine static to come through the speakers when the truck is turned on? Could it be a faulty ground? I had to tap into the ground to hook up my parking brake wire so the video would play while im driving.
