How do the 305's do as far as rubbing when sharp turning?

Damn I too was wondering what one would look like lowered with the stock 20's. I like that medium look, that truck looks exactly like mine but white instead of black, so it gives me a real nice idea of what it would look like. What measurements would give you that medium look?

About 2 years ago I was at the GMC dealer and saw a slick black ext cab 2wd Sierra w/20's. Walked over and it turned out to be a VHO. Never had heard of or seen one before. It was the only thing like it I had ever seen. But I remember the sticker saying it had a 345hp Vortec Max motor in it. Fast forward a year 11pm I was window shopping at my local Chevy dealer, and low and behold I see a black ext cab 2wd Silverado w/20's and a huge Vortec Max emblem on the door. I knew right then it was mine, had just been traded in that day. I went at 10am the next morning and bought it. It wasn't even on the lot, but in the back. And I still have yet to see a older body style Vortec Max in person. Supposedly the guy traded my truck in on a new C6. Perfect condition only had 9k on it and I got it for a steal of 21k. Couldn't beat it. I was in the market for a Z71, but the performance and looks of what these trucks have is what caused me to jump on it.

Mine went out at 13k. I left my house and my dad called me to tell me there was a huge puddle of antifreeze in the driveway. So I brought it back and called roadside assistance. It was 8pm and the lady couldn't give me a tow truck because the truck wasn't in my name because it was in the previous owners name. So she went to transfer me to put it in my name, but that part was only open 9-530. Luckily I had my onstar activated and was able to use it to get it towed. Needless to say I was a little mad about one, it going out at 13k, and two not being able to use roadside assistance. Thank goodness for onstar.

Nope it's an ext cab, ordering tomorrow, I'll let you guys know how it is.

Has anyone ran a Bassani catback yet on their truck? I have a 06 vmax and was wondering if the dual 3" to single 3.5" system for the 03-04 SS would work on my truck. Bassani I know makes some nice quality stuff and I found a really nice price on of their catbacks. But before I order it I want to be sure it will bolt right up to my truck. Any help is appreciated.

Finally got around to dynoing the truck, last time right before the dyno day the water pump went out and had to be towed to the dealer. Going to tune it using HPT as soon as I get a chance and some $. But I decided a baseline would be helpful. Tried to dyno it in 3rd, but kept hitting the 110mph cutoff. So we did it in 2nd. Made 294/352. After 3 pulls it had dropped 2-3 whp and wtq. I was thinking of getting a 160 t-stat, cai, and tune and see what it could do. I ran 14.8 in it the way it sits. How much power/time should I expect from these mods?

Yeah, I'd love to see what I could do with it. But my GTO eats my modding money lol. What are you guys using to tune these. I have HP tuners 2.1 on my GTO. It needs something to firm up the shifts in it without a doubt.

Went out for some baselines and to embarrass some of my friends who think their Honda's are fast Seems like I got pretty good 60's to what I've seen some of the guys get out of these. 2.11 60' [email protected] Full weight. Completely stock. 06 ext cab 2wd 20".

Not all V-Max's are 4.10 trucks, my 06 has 3.73's.

I'm doing something similar to this on my v-max. I cut off the catback pre muffler, going to y it down and put in 1 SLP LM1 resonator I ordered and run it into the factory catback, with 2 SLP tips exiting stock location. I'll post up pics once I get it all in.

What's a G80? Is that a diff code?

I have a 06 v-max 2wd w/11k on it. I bought it used a month ago. Truck is awesome, but I've been having a little problem occur once every 10 complete stops or so. When you go to take off with traffic with turning especially but sometimes straight line it feels likes its almost wheelhopping. Although I'm nowhere near even wot. It's feels like it could be the rear end or driveshaft. It's not any noise related with it, but you can feel it when driving the truck. Any ideas? I checked the tranny fluid and it's perfect and pink.

What kind of catback/tips are those?

Damn that's a good time for the mods I would tend to think. You might be able to pull a 13 out of that on a 1/4.

12.5@115 on street tires. 2.2' 60's own me. Putting on a set of DR's this year. Plus I had some porting done on the intake manifold and tb that netted me another 20whp across the board. It makes 450whp. 37k on it and since the cam swap 12k. Still stock clutch and drivetrain. However I can beat on it more this season since I have an alternate vehicle. Probably will have to upgrade the clutch to LS7. I'm also going to get my truck dynoed next Saturday. I'm interested to see what it puts down as I haven't been able to find where someone has dynoed one yet.

Good price for this cam. I bet it was beast in the truck, exact same cam I got in my GTO.

Picked up my 06 V-max 2wd on Friday evening. I saw it on the lot and fell in love. Only had 9k on it. It's a sweet truck and can't wait to get to enjoy it and it's capabilities. I also have a 2005 GTO M6 with cam, slp headers, flowmasters, Lingenfelter CAI, ASP UD, 160 t-stat, ported manifold, and ported tb with a HP tuners v. 2.1 tune by Nick Williams. I plan on using my v-max as a dd and my tow truck for the GTO to the track.
