  2. Under the hood pull the fuse hvac/icas in the black fuse box leave out a few mins and put it back in, start the truck and leave it alone it will run a recycle for the system sometimes this will fix it, it's worth a try and if it don't fix gonna have to replace the actuator most likely.

Did that the other week and it started again. Thanks

There are 3 blend door actuators for the automatic HVAC controls, if I recall correctly. I had your same exact issue with my 05 SS shortly after I bought it, the passenger side would blow as set on the control but the driver side would blow hot no matter what. Resetting the actuators with a Tech 2 scan tool worked 2-3 times, until the actuator gave out for good. I work at a GM dealership; with Service Information, I was able to figure out which blend door controlled what.. the one you need to replace is between the floor and the dash right behind the center console. You can replace it without pulling the console, although you need the hands of a small child. Lol.

There are three 7mm screws holding on the trim piece under the dash behind the console, remove the trim piece and the actuator is right there. I did mine in a driveway at 10pm at night by the light of a flashlight.. no need to take it to a dealership to replace it, all you will need is the actuator (they are all the same, I used one out of my wrecked 06 Sierra with manual HVAC), and a little bit of patience. Hope that helps!

Thanks!! I will let you know. Guess it is time to order one.

  3. I tow my 33 ft boat with mine but not terribly far other then when I bought it. Towed it 600 miles and weighed about 9000lbs. I added airbags and upgraded the brake lines from the factory rubber to SS braided. Both made a huge difference. Air bags help in keeping it level and I did not get "pushed" around as much. Plenty of power.

  4. Just last week I added the irotors off of ebay to my truck. It was the slotted/drilled rotors, ceramic pads and 5 braided lines for $440 delivered. VERY happy with the results. I can not believe how much more responsive the pedal is. Not sure how much were the braided lines vs. the rotors. I love how the truck stops now!!

  5. I had put the Touring on my truck a few weeks ago. I thought it was too quiet for my taste. Just got the Sport on last Friday. Much better and no drone at all. Do not hear to much noise in the cab until you get into it some but at idle and low rpm's it now has some sound to it. Now it is time to get rid of the touring muffler.
