BlackySS13
I would like to get some new brake pads and SS brake lines but I want the stock ones to wear pretty good before I do. I've got 43,000 on it now, about when should I replace?
6.0ss
That has a whole lot to do with how you drive more than it does milage, but maybe some one else can answer this for you, do we have wear indicators that squeek when they get worn down. Rays B4U
Depends on your driving habits. I manage a small fleet of police cars and we have gone through as many as 3 sets of pads for the front brakes on some of our Crown Vic's for that amount of mileage. It wouldn't hurt to have them checked.
Plwtwo
43000 miles with stock pads and lines, I'm sorry. I coudln't make 3000 miles they were so bad
Krambo
I got 90,000 miles on my 99 1500 silverado ECSB before changing (rotors also). I often towed a trailer w/o trailer brakes as well. I did not baby them either. Chevy did a good job on the stock brakes IMO
