if a guy was to use his truck off road, and didnt need something anymore, a slide hammer works really fast, but then you have the crappy issue of codes, but wait?? there is a cure for that to.. :) i remove codes for free!!! so you dont need expensive o2 sims. :) jes

Hey Jes, nice to see you over here. Do you have a Silverado SS now? A pretty good group here, but we could use some of your tuning tips..... ;)

is there an easier way than smithl3's 6 hour version?

no kidding, i just read his. i cant even imagine how it would take anywhere near 6 hours to do this. i think i will just cut them off and re weld them before i mess around with those bolts for hours like he says.

torch and a welder work wonders  :)

well the mention of a large screwdriver, slide hammer, crow bar, made me wonder if there was a way to gut them like i used to do on the 80's chevy trucks without even taking the thing off. :dunno:

Yup, but you wont get it all out.

The cats are some seriously tenacious materials so the snake bit will bore a few holes in it, but you need something bigger to really move around in there and break it all free.

I just figured the stock look would be better for the sake of inspections and people busting my balls. Doing it the way I wrote up about does no outside damage, she looks like the day I got it.
