The 65 is a slightly stronger 60, with the main difference being the 5-pinion planetary gears. There are a few minor differences other than that.

Everything that is good for a 60, will be good for a 65.

Now I am confused, because when I had my VIN checked the guy said that I had a 4L60E, what gives????? :dunno:

My guess is a VIN may not break it down far enough to show that you have a 4L65E. A 4L65E is a 4L60E with a few stronger parts. Everything else is identical.
