Front end noise

After reading a few posts, this seems to be a common occurence. When turning at oh 15-20 mph, I hear a slight noise in the front end. Not hardly noticeable at all. It sounds like some of you have had this problem in the past and have gotten it fixed. My truck has 24,000 miles on it. I just bought the truck last week with 23,000 miles on it. Should I just drive it for a while, say up to 30,000 miles, then take it in and have it looked at to make sure nothing is wrong before the warranty wears out?

I have this also, but it's minor, and the dealer, in my case didn't want to replace the diff.

I'd say if you are taking her in for the other problems you mentioned in another post, mention it to them. At least they could take a look at the fluid level, maybe drain and replace w/ synthetic, and check for metal parts in the drained fluid.

In my case they replaced w/ synthetic and didnt find any metal, so we're in monitor mode.

Some on here have had their diff replaced, but as I recall, at least a few had metal parts in the fluid, indicating something was getting eaten.

Remember, a little noise is typical of AWD and especially 4WD when locked in and turning.

Well, that's my 2 cents. Good luck w/ this, and enjoy your new ride!
