well, i figured this was some useful information. While loging the other day, i noticed a spot for wide band logging, so i got curious and sent an e-mail to HP tuners. Here is the e-mail i sent, and here is the response i got back.

My e-mail:

Hi, i recently purchased Your Tuning software for my 2003 silverado SS,

and i was curious about wide band tuning, and how i loged with a

wideband using HP tuners. TOday when i was doing some loging i saw a

spot to turn on a wide band, and i was just puzled as to how that

worked. any info on wideband tuning would be verry helpfull.

there response:

The wide band data is an optional input on our EIO interface only.

It requires you have a wide band controller like the LM1 or Dynojet

Wideband Commander. The 0-5v AFR output from those is fed into one of

the 4 EIO inputs and can be displayed in VCM Scanner.

If I'm not mistaken, I think even LS1 edit has this too.  I have a LM1 :)

how much is the LM1? I was thinking these are the ultra high resolution exppensive widebands... but maybee not...

not sure what you mean by ultra high resolution?? most widebands are in the $300 range

Hi Guys,

question: Where do you install the new WideBand O2 Sensor? Does it replaces an original sensor in the exhaust system, or do you have to tap new wire?

I just installed my lm1 and I put the sensor after muffler so I could read both pipes and not just one side. I bought mine from coolblueperformance for $355 shipped and got it in 2 days. I am still working with mine when I first started reading it I was 10.4 afr and now have it at 11.6. I am wanting to go to 12.0 with me running n2o.

I checked the instruction video from LM1, where they stated you should install the sensor before any catalyc converter. Otherwise you will read false data.

If I understand well, you installed the sensor behind the muffler? So your data won't be very accurate I guess...

Anybody else who has the sensor already installed?

thanks
