Factory paint chipping

Very much doubt you will get one red cent from gm for a new paint job.And you are not alone not just some, every colorado owner has had huge issues with paint being extremely thin and chipping problems.I believe gm went to a new process which is supposed to be high tech and give the best paint job in gm history. Not the case, the paint is extremely brittle and cheaply applied i wouldnt doubt if the silverado line is getting the same garbage paint job as the rados now!

If that is the case go buy a case of touch up paint because you will need it from what ive been seeing on the colorado forum boards.

Why would they repaint anything if it got chipped. Mine looks great after 47K miles. No chipping here.

Because to gm chipping is not a paint defect, discoloration would prob fall into the defect catagory.A bunch of the rado owners have been getting pretty pissed off that there trucks are chipping everywhere but so far the most anyone has got was a free tube of touch up paint.

Exactly where I was going with this. I doubt GM would ever do a thing about paint chips.

Flaking and discoloration is a defect, that GM would be liable for, but not paint chips.
